Please If I may ask, are student dates just as scarce as visit visa dates? |

Sadly, there is sufficient evidence here that many of us do not take time to read. Note that reading is a necessary skill overseas as directions, instructions and requests tend to be written. More importantly, that written information is evidence that can be used in court (of course, laws are enforced in developed economies compared to our home country). Moreover, if one cannot carefully read and understand information on Nairaland thread(s), how will such person be able to comprehend similar information on any other medium (including WhatsApp)? 1 Like |

Hello guys, Please I need an urgent attention and answer to my situation. What’s the criteria for securing a GA position for the new term (Fall) after initially securing admission for previous term (Spring) but was advised to defer because of the limited GA positions. Even though I did the GTA survey including GTA interview for Spring before being advised to defer, I want to know what to prepare for and how to take full advantage of getting a GA position for Fall. The school is GSU. |

My people I need your help to make this decision or anyone that passsed through the same experience from a third country. You can Kindly see my 1st attempt transcript that I posted here some weeks back, Since my first attempt denial here in Abu Dhabi, I have been thinking of re-applying in Naija since Home-tie is the issue. Not until today I saw this guy's post on Facebook who was in the situation. He was denied twice here in UAE Not until He went to His Home Country and He got approved. Kindly see the attached screen shot of His Post. Now my question is, Do you think I aslo have a better chance for my second attempt if I re-apply in Naija or I should just stick to Abu Dhabi here? What Consulate you think I should go to? Lagos or Abuja? Can I use my Bank statement from my bank here in UAE for naija? What is closest date for refusal slot in Naija? Thank you so much in Advance Tkulthenoble:

Pls Nairalands I need to know where and how I can successfully apply for college programs in USA. I’ve used apps like common app but its Not giving me a lot of results as to schools that don’t require application fees in USA. Pls advice |
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 17 by Denc: 12:20am On Jan 28 |
Tkulthenoble: The outcome of one's visa application is independent of another. Each application is treated on it's own merit. Nevertheless, applying in one's home-country aids in addressing the home-tie criterium per non-immigrant visa Abuja was calmer years ago (compared to Lagos). If that's still the case now, then do Abuja. Yes. Before thinking of closest date(s), the visa refusal happened just days/weeks ago, why not pause to carefully plan for the next application and interview as the visa officer(s) would be looking out for substantial change when the re-application is made? (School admissions can be deferred, that also gives one time to seek funded admission ... why rush to the US to spend own funds to acquire a certificate that does not guarantee recouping the expense? Even US nationals struggle to get desired jobs/preferred means of income.) 3 Likes |

I’m curious . I can see that people going to resume for fall 2024 can actually start attending visa interview a year in advance. However, if there are no near dates, can one still apply for expedited appointment in this case? |
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 17 by Debbieeeeeee: 3:26pm On Jan 28 |
Tender344:I think if your resumption is not 60 days away they won’t grant you expedited (this was the rule as of 2022/2023) but I think a trial won’t hurt they just may grant you. When I checked the wait time for Lagos I saw 63 days and 31 days for Abuja but then I saw someone here who said there are no dates till September in Abuja so confusion set in. |

Debbieeeeeee: What do you mean by wait time? Do you mean the time one has to wait before he get a reasonable interview date? |

hello You have a very good case of reapplying and getting the visa if you can just change your profile a little bit. for instance you dont need to claim single it doesnt look good on you. its usually a good reason to prove that you have no ties to come back . you can claim that you are engaged and planning to get married soon after your program ends. so you can even go on to say that you will be visiting your fiancee every long summer breaks you get. this are good reasons to prove ties also you need to really point out that you have been planning to study the program for a long time and that you have been saving a lot so that you can afford the program. you also need to prove there is a guaranteee job available for you on your return you can show evidences of job adverts and you can also tell the that you planned to set up your own consulting firm or business when you return, Now my question is, Do you think I aslo have a better chance for my second attempt if I re-apply in Naija or I should just stick to Abu Dhabi here? What Consulate you think I should go to? Lagos or Abuja? Can I use my Bank statement from my bank here in UAE for naija? What is closest date for refusal slot in Naija? You can apply from any where in the world once you have some kind of residency in that country you are applying from... getting a visa approval is not hard and difficult if you carefully follow all the guidelines carefully it starts with the application form and it changes slightly with the type of application for example a visiting visa guidelines is different from a student visa guidelines so as a fiance visa guidelines. I have some guidelines i will be posting on here soonest that guarantees you a visa approval. 3 Likes |

also please always try to get your interview dates earlier in the year when new visa quotas are just out like from february till august is a good time as the year decline the visa quotas are very low so visa refusals are high if you look on here too you will notice a lot even of end of the year applications get refused a lot. applications in the ember months liker october down to december gets declined a lot. but ven as at that if you follow the visa guidelines carefully you can still be among the few that gets visa approval during this ember months. 1 Like |

Please for those who wrote GRE, is one month lecture enough to prepare? I contacted a tutorial center in surulere, they said it's 100k & lectures is for only 4 weekends. It looks to short to learn anything. Please those that used a tutorial center, how long did your lectures last? I'm not too good in mathematics so I need all the help I can get. Or if there are any suggestions for good tutorial centers on Lagos mainland (tested & used by anyone here), I will appreciate it. Thanks. |

What do you mean by "you haven't secured an appointment date"? House, Please upon submission of FI Visa application, how long does it take to communicate an appointment date? NB: I'm not asking of the waiting time! |
