⚡The withdrawal of three countries from ECOWAS means a turning point in France's growing isolation. "Geopolitical shifts in the Sahel have led to a turning point in France's growing isolation in this strategically important region". This turn is linked to the withdrawal of Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger from ECOWAS, reflecting their desire to strengthen their sovereignty, their rejection of the regional co-operation mechanisms created with French support and attempts at external pressure, particularly from France. 5 Likes 1 Share

⚡The Russian steel industry repeated the record of 2021. In the past year, Russia produced 75.8 million tons of steel, returning to the 2021 level when 76 million tons were produced, and surpassing the 2022 level by 5.6%. All of this occurred under the conditions of sanctions. Europe, which was a key sales market, banned the import of Russian hot-rolled and cold-rolled products, transformer steel, galvanized and stainless steel, seamless pipes, etc. Quotas are imposed on steel semi-finished products. Metallurgists had to urgently reconfigure export flows. Many companies worked very efficiently and were able to quickly redirect the main export volumes to new directions or to the domestic market. Experts note that major steel producers are showing almost 100% capacity utilization, and domestic demand is growing due to the increase in construction and infrastructure projects. Internal prices demonstrate a significant premium to global benchmarks, excluding duties, freight expenses, railway logistics, and port handling. 1 Like

WritterNg: Its just the beginning for you guys. What goes around comes around but in the case of USA, what has gone around is a lot, so they should expect a lot coming around as well. A clear signal that the world now knows america has been powerless all this while. Thanks to Russia. Gone are the days the USA will do something and get away with it. Intresting times ahead, even if trump wins, nothing can save or stop the decline of Americas influence. Only the dollar as a world currency thats keeping them afloat and its just for a while. 11 Likes 1 Share |

Ibime: I don't understand why you guys are arguing back and forth on the total number of companies registered in the UK. This link to the government office of statistics should help lay the matter to rest. https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/incorporated-companies-in-the-united-kingdom-january-to-march-2023/incorporated-companies-in-the-united-kingdom-january-to-march-2023#:~:text=2.-,Main%20points,by%2069%2C926%20companies%20(1.5%25). The bone of contention should, rather, focus on the initial post/news, which says 47,000 UK companies are facing risk of permanent closure. And someone went on to say even if those companies collapsed, they still have 5 million more left, but that isn't the real issue the news is trying to pass on regarding the potential catastrophe. Here is the deal ... Assuming that each of those companies has up to 20 employees on their payroll, that would be 20x47,000=940,000. That means, if those companies actually becomes insolvent and forced to close down operations, a whopping 940,000 people would become jobless and thrown into the labour market. That's a red sign for any well meaning economy. The situation can even get worst considering that the reports says 30% of those companies are in the building and construction sector, which employs more people than most other sectors. 1 Like 1 Share |

Stoplying: You see, man, that is a feature not a bug. Americans dying in a meaningless overseas conflict is a regular Tuesday for these psychopaths. There's a cross-section of the establishment that has been looking for any excuse or pretense to start off a hot war with Iran. This camp will attempt to use this incident as a casus belli. Sad news for American servicemen who I have high regards for: But that country is completely captured by a dark underbelly of unelected, unaccountable crats. -Lord 3 Likes |

Appleyard: It is better you talk to your man to help him understand how a country can have millions of companies than all this shalaye In a country of nearly 6 million businesses, 47,000 can shut down quite easily while 47,000 others spring up. . . .. . or their competitors consolidate and expand, absorbing employees from the ones that closed down. That's how capitalism works You should have helped us with UK employment stats than drawing false conclusions. You people on this thread should learn how to think like intelligent people, but alas, the IQ quotient of this thread is low as expected. Number of payrolled employees is expanding while you are chasing shadows 1 Like

WritterNg: Normal stuff. They will soon begin bombing Iraqi civilians indiscriminately. The freedom fighters bombed American soldiers. But American soldiers will begin bombing Iraqi civilians. If the freedom fighters bombed American civilians, would they achieve anything other than turning Americans against them? Nope. That's the same way the Americans will achieve nothing other than turning the Iraqi civilians they would bomb against them. 1 Like 1 Share |
