Hmmm. We're over 300m. A white friend revealed this to me. As you can see, Nigerian leaders are good at corruption. They even applied it in our population figure by slashing it. Overpopulation is one of the reasons our economy is in shambles and the leaders know this but kept quiet over it. 50 trillion naira annual budget can never be enough for our population and that's why they keep padding and borrowing.

You see that census, they will never do it. They'd keep shifting it, except the international community threarens to stop giving them aid and loans, maybe they'd now reluctantly conduct it. The era of manipulation of figures is over with the new system of head count with fingerprinting and NIN as recommended by the UN, just the way MRI is exposing age falsification in sports. Our population is supposed to he to our advantage but bad leadership disallowed this. They steal everything that comes their way

The result whop shock the world. Nigeria is almost 400m in population and we don't have enough resources to maintain it.

I've always believed the bad leadership is indirectly what makes us good in all those areas you mentioned... Perpetual disappointments from the leaders and a need for a better life serves as a motivator in Nigerians.
