Greetings everyone,

Has IOM stop doing biometrics upfront??
I tried booking appointment, but they asterisk IME number as compulsory I need to input…and I can’t proceed without it.

Has anyone done medical appointments upfront lately….how did you book without the IME number??

Hi guy,
A blessed morning/evening to y’all..

Please I need an answer to a question which is one of my close pal is planning to go on a week or two weeks vacation back home around April while is passport will expire by September and also as well his study permit. Though he already booked his renewal appointment But here is the question Are they going to take his old passport from him once he go to Ottawa for his passport renewal biometric or not.. because if they would take the old one from him then he can’t travel anymore since his visa is on the old passport.

Secondly, I heard someone said to me once that they can only start processing renewal of passport until the old one is submitted please how true is this ?

Please guys it’s urgent he booked his flight already going through Ottawa then to Nigeria

Thank you guys for all your answers and assistance
Appreciate it all

Good morning everyone...

I really don't know what to do any more . I applied for study permit on 11th November, 2023. My medical was passed dec 13th 2023. Uptill now there has been no update from IRCC. My application is almost 12 weeks now.

I have sent series of emails and webform and the response is always . My application is undergoing processing. On Monday I got another reply that it is with Rapid response office in Canada.
Is there any thing I can do at this point please? Kindly share...

I did mine last week.
Just send a mail to your IOM preferred state Lagos/Abuja.
Then you will get a response.

You can’t do anything but remain patient. You may do biweekly web forms but since your application is not in Namibia, don’t expect a reaction to your web form.

VOs in Canada work at their own pace.

Please I need advise

There was a delay in my student permit so I deferred my admission to September 2024.

Glory to God now my VISA is out but it’s expiring in December 2024

Please I need advise on my next line of action. When should I travel ? Would the Visa be extended ?

You are expected to land by December 2024 latest after which your permit will be issued which will cover your study duration.

I spoke with two representative of schools here in Canada and I was told to go ahead with my application that it does not affect those that have LOA till 31st of March.

Man, your obduracy is disturbing.

From my observation and little experience, Ircc use time stamp of the day you submitted to evaluate your application. So you don't need to be worried about the current rate. If not, many people that submitted before the January deadline will also be worried for the new POF for living expenses
Hey bro I sent you a dm 🙏

Morning my ogas,

Please I want to book flight from LAGOS to Halifax directly, so I saw a flight that suit my pocket on trip app, it's a long hours, but I don't mind. The flight moves from Lagos to Casablanca, then from Casablanca to Montreal YUL and from there to Halifax.

I am flying for the first time and don't know much in this area.

1, I want to know if I will be needing transit visa if I book this flight?

2, Which port of entry will I be interviewed or asked questions, is it Montreal YUL or Halifax airport?

3, If it's Halifax, how friendly are they at Halifax airport to immigrants from Africa? I have read people's testimonies about various airport but I have not read anything about Halifax.

4, if it's not safe to pass there, maybe I should just go to Montreal YUL first and go and book a local flight to Halifax.

Please, help your boy make he no enter one chance.

Yes, go ahead with the process even if your initial plan was to move with your family you can still go alone and plan to bring them in.

If you intend to work as a nanny for your brother in Canada, you should know that the regulations around employment as a caregiver in Canada have specific requirements. Generally, individuals are not allowed to work as a nanny for their siblings unless they are the direct spouse of the sibling.
Merosy:
good day house, my brother want to go for a program in Canada and he wants to include me as a nanny, I am in my early 40's, married, I have been denied US business/ tourist visa some years back, what is my chances of getting the visa as a nanny?
He has enough money to cover all the expenses but I don't know if I will be able to get the visa.

I have a plan of traveling to another country for laster though I don't have much fund, should I forget it and focus on this Canada as a nanny or I should go ahead with my plan, kindly advise me.
With these new policies I'm afraid of getting rejection, what are the chances of me joining his family?

1. Working to pay tuition and other bills might be impossible. But you will survive!
2. Yes, you can use your sister as a sponsor. Get her work documents(employment letter, payslip, ID), if she is a business owner CAC if applicable, contract deed, invoices, statement of account, affidavit, and letter of support (if married the letter should be cosigned by the spouse), international passport, birth certificate, pics etc.

Thank you so much. What is the least amount of money I need to have in my personal account even though I have a sponsor.

Can anyone help with this? I am also in the same situation. My Primary Visa office is RROC while Nairobi is Secondary. Is there any reason why applications are transferred to RROC?
