Things are so rough with me and only God knows how am managing to survive in the face of this unbearable economic hardship.

As early as 5:30am this morning, I was already on my way trekking to the market for morning market deals where things are a bit cheap.

I wanted to buy cups of Garri and beans.

The first place I entered said beans is N190/cup and I left to find where I could buy at cheaper amount.

I finally find a place where it was N170/cup and Garri 6 cups for N500.

It was time to pay.

Hmmmmm

Trying to bring out the money was when I started looking like a joker.

A real joker indeed. Because, how would the last 1k disappear like that?

I searched everywhere and couldn't find the money anywhere.

This was around pass 6am when the day was getting bright.

Long story short, I cried and returned from the market very hopelessly, more hopeless than I was before going there.

At least that Garri and beans would have sustained me but now I'm left with nothing.

My precious last 1k couldn't even pity me and stay knowing how things are but left me pitilessly and put me in a more hopeless situation.

I'm sad. Very sad especially with the way things are in this country.

Inflation is killing us, people can no longer afford the basics.

Nigeria is no longer for some classes of people. They've achieved that.

Sorry dear. Feeling so bad for you reading this. I can relate as I can remember the day I lost the last money that was with me. I suffered.
