Most of it would eventually land in the hands of terrorists
Not the business of the seller. Their own is to pocket $1billion dollars that you, your children, your grandchildren and possibly your great grandchildren will work hard to repay. I'm considering not having children so that when I die, America and China will not see anybody to disturb rather they will come to my grave to get their loan. Ndi uchu.

How many times do these people buy helicopters for terrorism? We heard about this same news at least twice a year since the past 16 years I think.

They even talked about some special planes from the US to fight terrorism, they arrived in Nigeria and no one heard anything afterwards.

These people just dey whine us ni. They will hire these stuff temporarily, show them off, then return them where they belong after getting cuts from the budget. Same thing happened with Nigeria Air that everyone eventually found out the aircraft was hired from Ethiopian Airlines.

Confronting these maniacs called Boko Haram terrorists goes beyond acquiring sophisticated war weaponry....We Must collectively agree to end this menace once n for all n this could be achieved if those betrayals amongst our military personnel turn over new leaf...Once this is devoid of this contention, the mission will be totally achieved...

We also need some of our police men to go for training in the USA, so they can impact the same the knowledge to other operatives in Nigeria.
They should also increase their salary to 500k monthly so that more people will join police and work effectively.

Let's hope hope, just like Boko haram
In Maiduguri, the weapons don't end up
in the hands of the criminals..

Again, having weapons is one thing, but
to effectively & tactically use it is another
matter.

What did they do with the Tucano jets, nothing , we still see on video and here their commanders shouting until of their voices at war fronts as if they re in the market, no communication gadgets , your enemies hears everything you re saying , these re 1950s tactics, in 21century it is laughable , very unfortunate

If they like they should buy $100bn weapons, once the political will is not there and the Nigeria military as presently constituted still have those terrorist and bandit sympathisers from the North in large numbers, it would just be efforts in futility.

Don't give our soldiers arms to kill hungry civilians. Tinubu, what drives insecurity in Nigeria is purely bad leadership. Use that $1 billion for buying military hardware to create jobs in Nigeria.

The main driver of the current insecurity in Nigeria is idealogical. We are not the only poor country in the world.

Of course, poverty feeds into it but the driver is idealogy.

Nigerian government never learns… you are fighting an insurgency. You need intel and recon. Ukraine war has proven the effectiveness of drones for recon and attack both day and night. For a billion dollars, we will be able to setup a drone manufacturing base here in Nigeria,.

Spare parts and ammo from US will cost us far more than a billion dollars on the long run. Stop wasting money you damn fools. Stop wasting money on old technology. You are not fighting a standing army..

We need to strengthen the policing system not just the military. We need a stronger state police to combat immediate threats.
There are fresh security challenges that call for military preparation. Three countries recently withdrew their membership from ECOWAS. They definitely have agenda and have the support of radical islamic nations in the Middle East, who are going to be funding them, training them and supplying them modern weapons. Nigeria as the engine room of ECOWAS may be a potential target. We have to be prepared and our forces need weapons that is required for modern battle.

We should be buying more advanced drones, not helicopters.
Drones are shipper to maintain and it saves lives in case of a crash or attack since there are no pilots.

This should be common sense, but trust that the old bafoons leading us have no clue on the advantages of drones over helicopters.
