It makes no scientific sense but I've seen this kind of scenario happen too many times to outrightly dismiss it.

So Tinubu will be speaking to the players before the match today.
A bad decision if you ask me.

It's just a phone call. If that is enough to throw us off we don't deserve to win.

KC after Osimhen is our most potent forward FACT!

I don't expect him to start going by our formation but I expect him to feature at some point during the match.

komekn:

Why would your bring in KC a player out of form for the past three seasons, has not played a competitive game of football since 2nd December 2023, left the injury treatment table straight to the SE, is not match fit even the manager has confirmed my earlier thoughts 💭.

What's he going to do, sing praises 🤔

It's a crucial game you need all the players who are capable and fit on their best 100% ➕ to win it .

Not over confidence but we are likely to blow Angola away ooo.

I'll look at it from 2 scenarios..
If we start with intensity like we did against Cameroon and we get that early goal, it's over for them..

If they try to rush us with their fluid attack and they meet our Stonewall defence..
We will kill them on the counter as well

The way I see it, this Angola match plays exactly into our formation and setup
JPes should be kicking his lips with glee..

All other factors being equal, we should wallop them

I predict 4:0

Coach could use Uzoho because I doubt that Nwabali is springing properly in one week
Hopefully our defence protects the goal posts
If we give everything in this game Nigeria will win
Normal 💪🏾
My brain can't even pretend and assume a situation where we lost. This game is a sure win for Nigeria. The boys know what's at stake. If they play with same energy as the Cameroon 🇨🇲 game, they might even spell "Ango", and leave them with the "la"...

What if there sit back and defend do we have players that can unlock there defence. You know our wingers has not really be impressive and our midfield is just there.

I heard Osimhen and Ekong are doubtful for the match against Angola... How true is this?

Iheanacho, Moffi , Omeruo & Uzoho will do the job
They overstretched themselves in the last game against Cameroun
Ekong made a fantastic block with his left foot. That ball would have gone in if he didn’t make that tackle
We all know Osimhen gave over 100%
Was running like crazy. I knew he overstretched his body more than the Cameroonians that’s why we won
Hopefully they’d be back in the semis
I believe Moffi, Iheanacho, Omeruo & Uzoho will get the job done because they’ve not had up to 200 minutes in individually
So when called they’re expected to fight to the very end
We hope the rested guys recuperate for the semis and finals because I believe they’d be tougher than Angola

We are not overconfident
I doubt you’ve watched Peseiro’s interviews lately
They are taking it one game at a time
He said any team in the tournament can win the trophy especially with the upsets they’ve seen so far
He did say Angolans are no joke because they won their group however he trusts his players to stick to the game plan & they’d get the job done.

I am predicting Nigeria 2 - 1 Angola in 90 minutes
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by semid4lyfe(m): 12:21pm On Feb 02, 2024
Angola plays an open attacking style. They can't play any other way.

That suits our defensive/counter attacking style cos they're porous at the back and will leave spaces for us to exploit.

Ultimately, it be our biggest victory and I'm predicting

Nigeria 3
Angola 0

Today, we gonna soar.

No. The world is yet to get over Morocco's stunning performance at the last WC so I guess the Americans are banking on taking advantage of their marketability to lure sponsors.

But I would have advised them to wait for the AFCON to end and then invite the reigning champions of Africa.

I guess they rate the WC semifinals higher than the AFCON trophy.
I still think they should have waited for the final. Imagine Nigeria won and they invited us. Would have given the tournament way more visibility than morroco but then I guess the potential sponsors and the pockets of Morocco will pay them better. Maybe they are short on time and need to organize schedules hence the quick decision.
