Samuel Eto'o : " I am still in Cote D'Ivoire learning about the next steps we need to take for us to be patriotic again.

There is something about South Africa and Angola. They play with a great deal of African based Players.

The hunger is unbelievable. They are representing Africa because they mostly play here not abroad. We will start mixing players who plays in Africa and abroad.

The level is close . Sad currently we have few who plays in south Africa, Tunisia, Morocco or Egypt.

These are good African leagues with productive development. We are now open to give Call ups to any Cameroonian who is good at his Job despite where he plays his football.

Our attention with my staff Will be to spread the net all over Africa giving a chance to every player who deserves to play for the indomitable lions. "

Samule eto needs to be more realistic, another trend in this afcon is the rise of European-born players of African origin who are now giving their all for their countries of origin, I have seen this in teams from cape verde, Equatorial Guinea, Mauritania, Guinea, and established big soccer nations like Senegal, CIV, and even Nigeria with the likes of Calvin Baseey and Aina.

Eto needs to be more open-minded in this perspective of the African game if not he will just continue to be a failed FA chairman and raise questions of ex-players becoming sports adminsitrators

I'll look at it from 2 scenarios..
If we start with intensity like we did against Cameroon and we get that early goal, it's over for them..

If they try to rush us with their fluid attack and they meet our Stonewall defence..
We will kill them on the counter as well

The way I see it, this Angola match plays exactly into our formation and setup
JPes should be kicking his lips with glee..

All other factors being equal, we should wallop them

I predict 4:0
hmmm four zero ko, five zero ni. Nigerians and boasting. Giant of Africa for mouth. Me wey watch Angola vs Nambia dey fear these guys as a foremost Nigerian fan. This one come here dey heightened the tension

We are not overconfident
I doubt you’ve watched Peseiro’s interviews lately
They are taking it one game at a time
He said any team in the tournament can win the trophy especially with the upsets they’ve seen so far
He did say Angolans are no joke because they won their group however he trusts his players to stick to the game plan & they’d get the job done.

I am predicting Nigeria 2 - 1 Angola in 90 minutes
this is what I'm talking about. This one get sense small not those ones predicting Germany Saudi Arabia scorelines

Its just how sensitive/delicate these stages can be, and thats what is putting small caution in me…nobody believed keshi team tearing Mali apart 4-1 in semifinal, although we were confident of breezing past them since we took out CIV.
As far im concern No southern African team can stop us in an Afcon crucial knockout stage(Mozambique,Angola,SA,Namibia,Madagascar,Zambia, zimbabwe,Malawi) Taaah!.
I can fear North Africa/West Africa but u see all these COSAFA people..abeg forget them.
I understand that Afcon standards has been raised but then…forget jareee..
It will take a strong rival like (CIV,Sen,Cam,Gha,Alg,Egy) to stop a red hot 9ja side.

SA made mistake sacking Shakes Mashaba..he was already building momentum of a psychological edge over Nigeria..if we catch this SA wey Rwanda flog 2-0, na correct afolenu we go give them…guys just sit and relax watch us go all the way..one leg Algeria, Tunisia,Morocco will find a way to send us packing.
A poor super eagles team will still beat this Angolan side….i remember in CHAN 2018 when we faced them in Quarter final with Salisu yusut as coach..them start gra gra, we still pursue them go house

What if there sit back and defend do we have players that can unlock there defence. You know our wingers has not really be impressive and our midfield is just there.

Good point
But they are not likely to sit back
If they do anyway, then it will be a matter of who makes a mistake first or set pieces..
