The thing is this, you can not come from Nigeria πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬ and get wowed by anything you see in Ghana tbh. This is coming from an akwapim man.

The only thing that can catch a Nigerian's attention in Ghana is the share number of single dwelling homes. If they were strategically placed and arranged in an otherly manner without been mismatched with slums, containers, kiosks, lottoshop, and uncompleted buildings here and there, maybe the wow factor wouldn't have been missing even without skyscrapers and high-rise.

If you think kwahu, east legon, cantonment got mansions, wait till you come to Nigeria πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬ i will be your tour guide. I won't take you to Lagos and Abuja before you see jaw dropping houses. I have seen the best of both countries, Ghana should take several seats behind.

I can't wait to visit Nigeria some day. As I speak my mom is in Kano doing business. She buys from Ghana and sell in Kano and buys from Kano and lagos and sell in Ghana.

My only visit to nigeria happened when I was like 7 years old. My uncle used to live in lagos. I have lost most of my memories of my short stay in lagos. But one thing I will never forget is party lol. It was like every day we were going to one party or the other in lagos πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. Even when I came back I was still crying- party!! party!! when I was being prepared for school πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

May be I'll have to experience nigeria (lagos, kano, abuja, ph, etc) again to be able to pass a fair judgement.

Then again its not right to denegrate an entire nation like Ghana, I am not sure its you I quoted the last time, but if its you kindly retract, its not right.

You got this one wrong, that facebook account- TimBia Gh is not actually a Ghanaian, he is a Nigeria national promoting his page, he most likely lives in Ghana but is a Nigeria.

You see why you don't take anything at face value especially on the internet. All these things add to you hating on a country and its people for no real reason. With time it will grow into some sort of a monster, and then later confirmation bias sets in where you begin to meet certain Ghanaians whose attitude confirms whatever notion you already have about Ghanaians and Ghana. The n the cycle continues. Take care...

This two needed to be addressed , the rest can be laugh at .....

The flag staff house is spectacular design , it will catch any Nigerian attention, even those who are at the corridor of power in Nigeria. Aso rock is a normal buidlng built on a rock right there in Abuja.

.Now the second suggestions, Ghana leads Nigeria in many ways , is it about socially life (Ghanaian benefit and enjoy govt support than Nigeria ) if there is any Nation that needs several seat ,it is Nigeria.

The only structure in Ghana that can catch my attention is that hospital you built in that university(I must confess it’s modern and similar to most hospital design in the US), the rest of the nonsense in your country wouldn’t dare. Your flag staff house is very hideous not just in architecture but also on the choice of painting. Very tacky rubbish thing.

The way your other fellow citizens talk with utmost arrogance and ignorance about what they know little or nothing about here, warrant the denigration from other posters. I wish they had something to show for this arrogance.

That aside,Tudu to lagos is barely 800ghc,you can make the trip and experience Nigeria πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬. It might not be the best in times of basic social amenities, like adequate pipe born water and 24/7 electricity supply but trust me,in terms of physical infrastructure, there is so much to see.

But before you make the trip try and ask your mum about Kano in comparison to Tamale and hear her response grin

@bolded.
Exactly how Ghanaians also see Nigerians. We feel you guys are boastful and too arrogant with very little to show for. I interact with a lot of Nigerians physically on a daily basis, and I have seen majority of them exhibit this attitude. Anyway as youth, I think we should learn to accept one another both the good and the bad.

@2nd bolded. I will most likely go by air. Of course, she has told me a lot about nigeria, some nice and some not so pleasant.

It will not be fair to compare kano to tamale. Kano is an ancient city. Tamale became a capital just few years before our independence....so.

You are very clueless and stupid as well

"Assuming" 60% of Ecowas money comes from Nigeria (which is not true)
1)Where is the Ecowas Secretariat located at?
2)How many nigerians work there as compared to the other member countries?
3)Which local economy benefits more from the Ecowas/the headquarters, meetings et al?
4)Which country gets more benefits from the activities of Ecowas?

How do you expect other countries to pay equal amount to support Ecowas bugdet when the Secretariat employs more nigerians and also when your local economy gets the lion share of any benefit that comes with the Secretariat?

How do you constantly complain about your country's contributes to Ecowas when your country benefits from Ecowas as an institution more than any other country?

if water and electricity were the only physical infrastructure that Ghana had an advantage in, like Ghana won't be so far developed and leaving Nigeria in the dust.

Education
Transportation and etc πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

Lol. Lagos alone would compete with Ghana in terms of health services and health infrastructure (whatever that means). It is a home of many private hospitals and there is hardly any advanced medical infrastructure you won't find in Lagos. So what do you mean by health? The largest medical center in perhaps all of Africa today is being built in Abuja (started in 2021).

In terms of education, I don't see why you say Ghana is doing better. Maybe Ghana would compete in education at primary/secondary level but definitely not at the tertiary level. If you say infrastructure again (like the last time), what exactly do you mean?

Even Borno state which was war torn between 2009 and 2017 has so many public schools spread across with a few state universities or maybe you say this because KNUST is beautiful. I don't get your parameters clearly though.

samoidiot is not talking about ridge , he is talking about UGMC in Legon . Ridge is another beautiful hospital in Ghana that will easily be waoo by many nigerians, you guys are declaring.

If you understand what goes into architecture, you will know flag staff is a master piece . if the likes of Lulu Briggs can choose Ghana hospital over Nigeria and decide to die in Ghana hospital ,then what you are saying is from your own pocket.

Many nigerians family have been referred to Ghana hospital from Nigeria ( particularly those who cannot afford European and american hospital. Kole bu teaching hospital for instance.

Apart from Ghana being ahead of Nigeria in basic education and waec standard, Ghana also lead in tertiary institution, university of cape coast is currently the 7th best in africa according to times , higher at ahead if any Nigerian it Kenyan universities. Infrastructure wise , no Nigeria university can compete Legon both in architecture and fercility.

Lol you are funny. Who is Lulu Briggs? There are also many who go to Lagos hospitals. So I don't know what you are talking about. At the moment, there is a huge influx of Nigerians from the UK at various Lagos Hospitals due to the waiting time for appointments in the UK.

As for University rankings, it depends on what ranking you are looking at. I think only Times Higher Education rankings put a Ghanaian school ahead of UI in Nigeria but other rankings differ. Even if we go with Times Higher rankings, Nigerian universities still dominate the list of top universities in Africa and Ghana has just one at the top.

Nigeria has 170 Universities. How can Ghana compete with something like that.
