❗️Barça want to offer Lucy Bronze a contract extension for one more season as long as the player is willing to accept a minor salary reduction.

➡️ There is also the possibility of adding another optional year.

I think you mean Etim and I mentioned this weeks ago when the list was released. It makes no sense. Those who write ages for these players should try and be responsible small na. The problem now is she'll have spent the years she's supposed to compete with her peers in developmental stages and won't cope by the time she's supposed to translate same at the senior level.

She isn’t the first to play U17 on two different occasions.. By the way if you watch the game you would see the difference in her and Afolabi game. They showed experience that they have played the U17 before…

As far as they’re within the age bracket there’s nothing wrong in it…!

Playing at 2 world cups isn't the issue. The issue is they are well above the age they are claiming. Based on their current age it means Etim and Taiwo were both 14 years of age when they played the world cup. We both know that isn't likely. Age falsification sadly comes with the territory in Nigeria and it's something we've unfortunately learnt to live by. Lately however players have learnt how to do it with sense which in my opinion isn't the case here. How was Etim 14 years old at the last world cup? How is she 16 now. What age did they start playing at the league? Doesn't make sense to me.

Sorry, but the philosophy behind U17 is NOT to have repetitions... U17 is supposed to be developmental, which means you do a stint and move on to the next level.
Both Etim and Afolabi have NO business playing again for U17. That so called 'experience' is a misnomer and has actually stifled growth and development for others who would otherwise have been in the frame.
To me, its a silly justification of the inept approach and a convenient excuse for the incompetence of Nigerian coaches.
I mean, what 'experience' is a '17 year old' supposed to have? Seriously?

So the U17 is not meant for Developmental purposes? What happens to winning it too?

Mk Ona forget that thing, Nigeria isn’t the only Country where players tends to play more than once In an age grade competition..! So the Asisat Oshoala, Desire Oparanozie, Chiwendu Ihezuo, Ebere Orji, Halimatu Ayinde and Co that Played the various age grade World Cup didn’t develop..!

Who knows what Oshoala would have become if she didn’t play the U20 for the second time..! By the way the players that was brought in from the former U17 squad are not even up to 5, so I’m wondering where all this developmental this and that is coming from..! As far as they fall within the age brackets let them play..!

So for you, its all about 'winning', right?
Is this the same 'win at all costs' mentality that has driven Nigerian coaches to recycle players? This is a prime recipe for fudging ages. Example was a particular person named Victoria Aidelomon, who claimed to be 16 but was found out to have younger sisters aged 19 and 26 at the time. The coach knew about this but decided to play along, all in the name of 'winning'.

I don't recall Asisat Oshoala playing U17 ball. She probably was dropped for someone with 'experience', even though she eventually grew to become the greatest Nigerian female football of all time, helping Nigeria perform where it truly matters - WAFCON and WWC.

Great point.
However, I disagree with the highlighted. They are trying to be clever by half, but simple logic will prove otherwise.
Most of these players have played at least a year or more in the NWFL before being invited to the National team. You cannot claim to be 12 or so at the time you joined an NFWL team, in particular, those who are 'eligible' to do double U17 duty). Common sense suggests that is not possible, not to mention illegal, per FIFA, to award a child a professional contract.

I think you misunderstood my point. I meant players have learnt how to choose ages closer to their reality. For instance Esther Onyenezide is currently 20. Even if she's been playing in the Nigerian league for 4 years she'll have been 16 at the time. Same applies to Ajakaye who is 18. While I do not agree with age falsification, these players have learnt how to choose ages closer to reality. Taiwo and Etim in my opinion overdid it.

After so much observation i can finally say that Onyi Echegini is the new Dzsenifer Marozsán (Former Germany International), They both have similar playing Qualities, Physique and accurate Striking ability from distance..!

Both are excellent ball carriers, Uses both feet’s effectively and Plays multiple positions on the field from Midfield, down to the flank and as a Center Forward…

From 2008 till date a big time follower of the Women’s game will definitely know the qualities Dzsenifer Marozsán Carries for both Lyon and Germany..
