DeadPresidents:You are right on the personality take...but in Naija, you may need more than that. Also in naija, lyrics will not save you. What will save you is your commercial hooks and nice beats..But if you have lyrics that resonates with the streets, then you are flying. No just look at Marley as personality, the guy get songs that sounds good. Almost all of them will record commercial success, cos every one can sing them or dance them. Also, he brought out a rap style where he has a lead voice and the little one that follows up immediately repeating same line.. Then every one, including baddoo started doing it. ..that's innovative talent. What earned Marly the cult following was his police case..and the soapy banger right after he was released. Yahoo boys all over saw him as their new messiah.. Every thing synced perfectly well from there. 5 Likes |

Bombblacks:Omah lay is not 10/10 bro. Because of soso...and the rubbish spirituality talks? Lmao. Call him to break down the lyrics.. sometimes the guy just rhymes with cut and join one liners that might make sense sometimes, but has no relationship with the preceding line I'm not saying he is bad. But he is not a 10. He makes good music. Just leave it at that. Nigerians are easily swayed. Smh 1 Like |

Bombblacks: I am a fan of both Asake and Omah Lay. Most times when I’m running workout sessions, I have Work of Art queued up to play on Spotify with Boy Alone following immediately after. I don’t think Omay Lay delivers 10/10 on every track. I think Asake has a stronger claim to being the better artist right now even though I think Omah Lay has the higher ceiling with his songwriting capabilities and lyricism |

BlueRayDick:Niger state is one of the biggest haven of fraudsters in the north central, Bida poly and FUT Minna student. I still don't think they are on the level of Edo state sha. |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Emaprince: 12:56am On Feb 06 |
DeadPresidents:I no understand yoruba very well..but I can bet my money that asake is more prolific than omah lay. Asake is just looking at the consumers of afrobeat and giving them their fare share of his talents. After listening to lonely at the top, you can agree that asake can really cool down and pen any kind of song. He is just full of exuberance and doing what his energy pushes him to...and he does them very well. Asaka can write and rhyme very well. Forget guy, this is not about empty music...asake has it in him. 1 Like |

liveLongNprospa: Whatever u think u want to tell me about Niger state , I already know that’s why I asked how u always come up with all these ridiculous comparisons . Like u mean the same Niger state that includes Minna , Bida , Jebba etc …. has more fraudsters than Edo state that has Benin, Ekpoma , Auchi ? U dey whine ? Did u people in Niger delta organize a meeting recently where u came to a resolution that u will no longer gree for any tag of any vice like fraud going forward or what ? |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 4:12am On Feb 06 |
kingBolton: Ur last line is the only thing that matters. It’s just like saying because Oyo state has Lautech where most of the students are Yahoo boys, then Oyo state has more Yahoo boys than Lagos state . Lagos state that has LASU, UNILAG, LASPOTECH, YABATECH , and other tertiary institutions whose students are yahoo boys. Lagos where those not in school who reside in Lekki , Sangotedo , Alimosho , Agege , Ikorodu, Bariga , Ibeju , etc are mostly into yahoo ? You should be comparing Edo with states in the south west and south south not Niger state 1 Like 1 Share |

DeadPresidents: Berghain has been on my bucket list since I was maybe 15, but none of my current friends are on the scene, and I've switched social circles since my party monster heyday I'm going to be at rolling loud in Austria this summer with my wife, and I may try to convince her to do an extra detour night in Berghain so we can try our luck at getting in - I'm not sure she'll agree though, given that she's the reason j switched out of those circles in the first place. Regarding the coca question, welcome to Europe. It doesn't matter what you look like, if you're black and around the club scene at night, you would have been asked that at least once. Then again, I do kinda look like I'm holding drugs on a night out...and most times. I am...which I typically source by asking black people 11 Likes 2 Shares |

KingTom: It’s even a big disrespect to mention erigga in the same sentence with shalippopi . I think most of these guys confuse being commercially successful with being a good musician/lyricist . Like Emaprince posted up there , there are a whole lot of things shalipoppi’s music lacks that portrays him as one lucky guy ; zero talent, empty lyrics , non-existent word plays , just basic mumblings etc . I understand tho ; Benin people will not gree to anything critical u say about the boy no matter how factual it may be . In due time tho , water will find its level . For now sha he still got the airwaves . |

afrodoc2: The that that Olaiya Igwe did this video only shows he’s also not getting dividend of Tinubu’s presidency and worse still ; himself and the nollywood guys don’t have access to Tinubu since he got the top seat. I told iamoyindamola that time when the man’s butt naked video at the beach trended that the man was doing it as payback for what Tinubu and his wife did for him when he was down sick . The man was just being loyal to the people who came through for him when he was down. Personally I don’t hold any grudge against people like him . He was very honest from the onset about his basis for Tinubu’s support . Na people wey claim to be misled by him I blame . |

iamoyindamola: Most of them thought when Tinubu gets there he will give them grants and all. I remember when Jonathan was president he promised nollywood N3billion grants back then ; I’m not sure he fulfilled that promise . So the Nollywood guys thought Tinubu being “ buje budanu “ will bless their ministry for real when he comes in as president . Unfortunately, person wey never even pay N35k he promised civil servants fully since he removed subsidy ; how he wan take reason nollywood ? 1 Like |

BlueRayDick: Until you visit both towns recently, you cannot really say I know you are using the eye that Niger is big to underrate it, but Edo is big too, and it does not end in Benin, Auchi and Ekpoma. I have my belief that Niger is not up to Edo, but until we know what Minna, Suleja and the rest looks like, we cannot conclude. |
