Streetinvestor2: Am not a good chartist, I use it in it's most crude and elementary form, avoiding all the high sounding terms. I was navigating some stocks inside Ichimoku cloud and I now know better when the weather man tells me the clouds are very thick and I should be careful below them... Oracle used TA to personally inform me that Transcorp was heading to N15. I vehemently disagreed with him. He said I should just know. He said he does not know the event that will make this happen, but it will definitely happen. Transcorp was selling at 95kobo when we discussed. He told me to just get some units and forget about them. The rest is history... 10 Likes |

Mpeace:Honestly, this was what I'd expected.....either the Court strike out the case or the parties agree to settle out of court. We may never know what could still happen sha. From the stock body language, there seems to be more than the court case we are seeing. |

veecovee:This market is the more you look, the less you see. It could be the activities of some investors, brokers, MM or insiders to depress the share price, so they can pick cheaper for their pot belly clients. Many things do happen behind curtains. * As it is, based on today's closing price, Salt is cheaper to pick. A difference of around 14naira btw the two now.... Also, from past reports, NASCON's report is more healthier than that of SUGAR...... We'd expected that NASCON's report will cover for SUGAR self..... * The ratio has been communicated already, except there's now going to be an amendment or whatever. We'll see how it all pans out anyway. 3 Likes |

PuristForest: Ranges bawo High net worth buys also shows on the charts as unusual volume and that usually precede a long bull. A ranging stock is undergoing consolidation which might breakout or breakdown depending on preceding price action 3 Likes |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by PuristForest: 5:25pm On Feb 06 |
Streetinvestor2:These people are market makers, they may not draw a bunch of lines on a chart but they do not also buy on a whim, they make the markets, they are slow and methodical, they are called the composite investors. They are slow to make the market because they cannot drop all their monies in the market as it will spook the market as there will not be enough liquidity to match their offers, so they (and their friends) will buy OTC and spread their buys over a long period of time usually months and years. In any case, as an professional analyst, you are trained to understand market makers in action, this is when the market is at its most boring moments, the price is not going up nor going down for a very long long time, the price remains in a range, usually months. Why? The reason is because the market makers want to accumulate as much as they can at those levels so that their average price will be the lowest. IF Ote for instance makes it public that he will be entering a 1B position in Transcorp for instance, what do you think will happen in the market, guess what, everybody will start buying transcorp and eventually his average price will be higher than desired. The thing about accumulation is that is so boring many retail investors are not really interested because there is little or no movements, the truth is that when the movement starts, the composite investor is already in the market and has taken his position and this is when retail investors see the movements and then jump in (to make him richer). The best time to get in the market is the ranges. I tell my friends Ranges are your best friends!!! There is more to it but this is the abridged version. 2 Likes 1 Share |

yMcy56: Well if oando declares hefty profit during the pendency of the court case it would definitely shoot up the price astronomically... have you considered this? |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by yMcy56: 5:32pm On Feb 06 |
Locotrader:Opposite! I don't personally see OANDO going back to below 10 again. The activities today was normal, a reaction from disappointed minority investors whose high hopes were dashed due to the adjournment again. I stand to be corrected anyway.....as we hand over the situation to Mr. Market to take care of .....in its own way. ..but we must know that those guys have plans, what was in their mind we don't know. 1 Like |

yMcy56: What will help oando sustain it's price before the next hearing is corporate actions which must be positive. I am equally a shareholder and my prayer is let God see us through in this menace. |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by yMcy56: 5:38pm On Feb 06 |
Locotrader:The result will be much better compared to the previous ones.........if we consider some factors ooo.... including the last result released. * One of it is the NNPCL's payment of N144bn or so, for the retail outlets. Not saying they'll pay investors from this but, it can be used to offset some debts.....I think it's a plus for O&O. I'm not their spokesperson anyway......just following on news and updates. 1 Like |

KarlTom:What this simply means is wale wants to delist. This second set of shareholders is still wale just like the first that has refused to sell at #14 on the free Market thereby ending court wahala. He has seen the #7 plus is no longer feasible to real minority shareholders. He wants to use this second group to call for another round of negotiations / offer using the court as cover That means my #20 target is now guaranteed.Fear any company being run by a fraudulent lawyer as ceo 1 Like |

SonofElElyonRet:Yes, because the last released improved report assisted in moving the share price above 7.....up to the 10naira region. All these ones we are saying self, if we hear say Ote$$ entered OANDO, people go throway court case for one side first.... Make we just know say wetin I dey talk na "if" ooo, I never reach Wale's mind to know what his plan was/is......this is Caveat... 1 Like |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by mikeapollo: 6:04pm On Feb 06 |
Streetinvestor2: There is no need spreading rumours or fake news. The new Oando shareholders are genuine shareholders. I got to know about this new case when someone mentioned it on Nairametrics. I google searched and I found the names of some of the new shareholders who have asked to be joined in the case. The details are online. Just search for it and read. They are not from Wale or anybody. They are Oando shareholders like you and I who may have the privilege and capacity to join the court case because they know what is at stake and want to prevent cheating. It is not every time we come up with warped conspiracy theories against some ''rich'' or ''powerful'' men whenever something goes wrong. It distorts the capacity to do meaningful analysis sometimes. You may be right to say that those earlier shareholders that requested for the buyout were from Wale, but the new set that have requested to join the case to oppose the delisting are genuine shareholders. 7 Likes |

yMcy56: The 2022 result was very poor too! There were hints to that effect in the 2021 accounts. Oando will only turnaround with the release of 2023 results. |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by mikeapollo: 6:26pm On Feb 06 |
Locotrader: The sale of Oando filling stations happened in 2022 (if I am not mistaken) The 2021 result was released in 2023, and it contained some info on ''events after the balance sheet date'' where major issues that had occurred between the financial year end (Dec2021) and the date of release of the financial results (2023) are discussed briefly. It was also mentioned in the 2021 accounts that the company would likely turnaround in 2023. However, the new ENI acquisitions and other developments from 2023 (e.g. 98% of all revenue/receipts in dollars) would impact positively going forward. The ENI acquisition was not captured in the 2021 results In fact, I am expecting Oando share price to skyrocket when results for Q1/Q2 2023 are released 1 Like |
