donbrowser: So please tell the house how you made the car overheating to the point it damaged the gasket and coil?. Same car you drove Sunday to Friday without overheating . All of a sudden it overheated on a Saturday, the same Saturday your mechanic fixed alternator belt. You get lucky say na nairaland you are saying all these. You can always come to my place or I can come to yours talk man to man 2 Likes |

Djdamian: Why did you skip the part where the car tripped off from that monday to Friday and mechanic was borrowing battery up and down abi it's me that caused that one too? You also forgot to say you didn't service a car before giving it out. It's my negligence that serviced the car isn't it? If i come to your house, I will only teach you about each car part and what they do. That's the first training you need bro |

Djdamian: Seriously as much as entertainment is good, this issue is not that deep if you ask me. I understand calling you out can meet the wrong side of you, but both of your can just slide this thing without one person trying to sound right. I don’t see you as a bad person from my view or don, it’s your money and nah you know wetin your eyes see before getting it (if there’s any). There’s a reason load of peeps will be scared to help people here. There’s really nothing to benefit when we keep beating each other down like this. It’s 2024 and I think we should focus more on being positive. 1 Like |

Djdamian: He took responsibility for the overheating. The way you're sidestepping the other issues he raised gives the impression that you're guilty as charged And is there anyone here who has never driven a car till it overheated? I have experienced overheating before and the temperature gauge didn't move an inch. Overheating can happen to the best and most careful of drivers. 2 Likes |

Djdamian: Boss these are the returns you get from business. It is either positive or negative returns. Ability to know when to halt is another thing. You honestly don’t have to explain yourself or reasons why you choose to back out. Anyone that sees otherwise should provide the other person such opportunity. Note : I am not pointing to this particular case. All I am just trying to say is protect your business in every reasonable way. Peeps here have cars they can’t even give out for reasons best known to them. No let anyone psychoanalysis you. If you truly know your person and you are true to the best of your knowledge to people. Look and smile. 1 Like |

Itsrm: I am not sidestepping anything. The agreement I had with him was lease. If there were any repairs he wanted me to fix,it's simple let me know what to fix and send me bill. How will any sane human give out a faulty vehicle on lease agreement, isn't that suicidal on the owner's part? Or I use my mechanic to fix it. Oga said he will handle it. Now is he coming online to insult me? 1 Like |

That's why investors are opting out of this racket. The uncertainties are too much. You can sink millions in this business,if you are not ontop of your game, to recoup the initial investment, will look so herculean. I have never taken a trip to Ikorodu, or those godforsaken suspension shifting areas. More reason why I stick to Indrive. I would rather just earn little and the car is in top shape than earn so much and still have to share a fat slice of my earnings with mechanic and the spare parts dealers. Though you can't avoid maintenance costs. But by avoiding some areas in Lagos, you can keep your maintenance costs low especially from a standpoint of suspension. Modified: there are some areas around that ilaje side of Bariga, swampy and gully filled roads within a popular axis.. .. I was shocked to see such roads.. 1 Like |

Itsrm: If I can service a car with oil of N51,500 within 3-4 days that it was given to me then i'm sure you should understand that radiator and temperature check should be the least of my problems. Now to how the car overheated, it happened around Guiness. I have 3 mechanics; 1 close to my work, 1 close to my home and 1 at Agege. On that very day, I suspected the car was overheating even though the temperature looked normal but I can't park in that area because of "those boys" (it was around 9pm or so) and since Guiness is not far from my mechanic in Agege, I decided to head that way. On getting to Agege, I PARKED THE CAR MYSELF and confirmed if the fans were working and alas they weren't. I had a rewire reconnect the fan but I wasn't comfortable with it. I wanted to be sure about the gasket. Bro e shock me say gasket done burn on top how many minutes overheating fah! If i donwload all the problems the car was bringing up from day 1 with proofs in our chat, you sef go shock. He keeps shouting overheating, overheating like i'm a kid or something. If I wasn't negligent to service a car he didn't service with oil of N51,500. Why will i be negligent with coolant or ordinary water in radiator. This dude doesn't even know jack about car parts. He keeps saying my mechanic that serviced the car, that changed belt caused overheating. Lol even when I told him the issue was as a result of blocked radiator , he still insisted I caused the radiator to block and I could have avoided the blockage if I wasn't negligent. 1 Like |

Buying a Nigerian used car and giving it out on rental or HP is something else. The previous owner may hide every developing issues with the car then pass it to the next user. When the car is put on rigorous duty through ehailing. It starts to reveal those hidden fault. I have personal experience of one like that, it started with rust. Then engine drinking oil like elephant, then overheating. In all of this, na driver owner go still blame. 3 Likes |

donbrowser: I can't count how many times you have mentioned that you bought oil of #51,500 and hence u can't be negligent of checking your coolant levels. What is this #51,500 you keep mentioning? People buy expensive cars and it overheat while they are driving it. Some forget to cover their radiator cap well. Some even don't remember to cover the radiator at all. So stop mentioning #51,500 as a yardstick to being knowledgeable on how to maintain your car vitals. Mistakes happen to even billionaire car owners talk less of u that is on rentals. Na your kind no dey know when car dey overheat sef because u dey chase target. 7 Likes |
