Quality players can be in a backwater league. We seem to forget that a player's career is like a ladder to the top with stairwells and shortcuts and an elevator nearby. The bottomline is some are too good for the league they're in but can't attract bigger interests because what they do may be basic or no different. Some take a league by storm and get a chance at the elevator but will be smart to use the stairwell(Orban for example) Some will be stagnant in backwater riding on old glory and won't mind moving. Some will get their lucky break close to the end of their prime and still use Elevator. Some are good enough to fill up quota. Some just chase the bag mainly. Backwater leagues can contain excellent ballers but for time Great leagues can contain prime otu and nonsense ballers despite exposure to all that technicality and sound managers. This thing is not 2+2 always. I see it as norms and exceptions. The main thing is just prove yourself consistently till your signature is craved by more than 1 teams at the top of ladder, stairwell or elevator. Else, na OYO. 12 Likes 2 Shares |

daveP: The difference between quality outstanding top players and good is one main word CONSISTENCY. The ability to perform at high level week in week out over the course of several seasons. When you don't you get dropped. What you see is players from backwater leagues playing at the very best they can or have ever had. But to do it with CONSISTENCY that's the problem. South Africa will get beaten by Nigeria comprehensively. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

MetalJigsaw:When it comes to penalties, the general rule is that an assist will be awarded to the player who ends up winning a penalty, as long as the goal is then converted by another player. That being said, if the player who wins the penalty also takes and scores the spot kick, no assist will be given simple google 6 Likes |

After the tournament Coach needs to fine tune his team so that they can play dynamic football (not just 3-4-3) The coach needs to look for a third choice goalie who is extremely good with penalties A world class creative/box to box midfielder A free kick/deadball expert It’s tiny margins like these that make a team special 4 Likes |

CornOak:South Africa lost to Mali Drew with Tunisia Morocco aren’t exceptional offensively Morocco got to World Cup semis playing without the ball when they faced football giants of the world They obviously chose not to do same playing in Africa Not bragging but if we were to face Mali today we would knock them out So long our boys give 100% and are fit I see no reason why we shouldn’t qualify Coach should just bring on fresh legs early on like 70th minutes Osimhen is gonna run and get super exhausted from minutes 70. Coach should know when to bring in fresh legs that can counter to kill the game It’s Ivory Coast I fear in the final with their newly found synergy and never say die spirit of play |
