Welcomme:They've been relying on long balls to create something. Were Zaidu in the match with his defensive minded game, Bassey would have been free to go contest some of the balls. The long balls usually have 2SA guys. One contests along with one of our defenders and that leaves just one person to close the other attacker |

I hope everyone can see why Bassey can’t play LWB. I think we should take off Simon for Yusuf. We need the ball to do the work. If you can’t hold ball, you’ll always be chasing the game and will tire quickly. We really need to score first and ideally score two. This SA team has serious team chemistry. 2 Likes |

Dannyxy: Bright osayi Samuel is not built like a native defender he’s a wingback his main goal is to overlap and create chances In the case of defending he’s a horrible defender i keep saying this right from our earlier games but hate for sanusi won’t make you guys see that 6 Likes |

This is another real test for Peseiro after Angola.. I want to see how he can switch things tactically to go ahead not necessarily to hold. 1 Like |

jihday: Switching to a back 4 will be madness. It will leave space in central defense. Remove Osayi and move Simon or Lookman there and let Simon and Lookman be inter-changing. 1 Like |

They started by overloading Iwobi. Once we cover that space up, they switched to accurate long balls to bye pass our midfield. Their strikers are timing their runs perfectly. Great coaching from Hugo Bross! We need our wing backs to move up and use long balls to break them too. Simon and Lookman needs to stop losing balls in vital areas! What a game!! The South Africans are better than I thought. We have been lucky!! 5 Likes |

South africa clearly came with a plan, overload the midfield areas, double mark our wingers since that's the source of creativity, then lastly quick long balls over the top for thier speedy attackers to chase.. Let's see how peseiro reacts to this in the 2nd half 5 Likes |

Team "One leg of Osimhen is better than a healthy Moffi", how market? Osimhen isn't able to press as usual, creating problems for the coach. But God forbid we allow a fully fit proven striker on the bench to play. Even from a wheelchair, Osimhen must play. 1 Like |

Hard game They want to Kill us with overhead balls that could catch our defense off guard If we don’t set the high line or offside trap properly we are in trouble Our players are playing like they’re tired and not full of energy Probably time for Iheanacho to get on. Ridiculous coach didn’t give some players on the bench game time earlier in the tournament Lack of game time may affect the guys on the bench This is the toughest game yet tactically I hope we don’t get to penalties They have a penalty stopper o Iwobi is poor defensively South Africans are out passing and outpacing our boys 1 Like |

Stillwater10: Zaidu not being there changes nothing. The problem is not Zaidu being there or anything. The problem is what I and a couple other monikers have been shouting since. This formation and style of play is not sustainable. Hugo Broos found the perfect antidote to it: since we refuse to press high, play out from the back and open up the pitch. Then, quickly play a long ball into the space between the back line and the goalkeeper, and trust your smaller but nimbler and faster forwards to get there first due to their superior acceleration (not necessarily speed). Now, the coach has to change the formation/personnel to counter this threat. But without testing any substitutes or new formations so far, the coach has ensured that we really don't have a back up plan. We have been figured out. |

I need Aina back to his position, zaidu in.. Back 5 should maintain width, lookman and Simon should drift inward to the midfield to help iwobi and onyeka, if osimhen fit he should be pressing and disturbing the center back, get them out of the game. Then onyeka should watch out for the second runner pressing ekong when they play long balls.. |

Oasis007: It's simple physiology. After injury it takes to 3 /4 games at least to get you to full match fitness. He has not played any competitive football since 2nd December and he went straight from the treatment table to the AFCON. In addition, his club manager said he is not fit. |

Mujtahida: Bro this is not a fair game we’re being massacred here South Africa is playing our very own formation but with more precision and perfect execution You noticed how they always double teams our forward players not giving them chance to breathe not to mention even create chances Chemistry is shows South Africa are cool with the ball We’re just running around waiting for that lucky ball to change the narrative |
