Summarily for the lazy readers.
1. Lingering regulatory approvals have delayed the release of aviation fuel and diesel from the Dangote Petrochemical Refinery into the Nigerian market, despite production commencing almost a month prior.
2. The refinery, inaugurated in May 2023 with a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, aimed to meet Nigeria's refined petroleum needs and create jobs.
3. On January 12, 2024, production of diesel and aviation fuel began, with expectations of releasing the products into the market by January's end, pending regulatory approvals.
4. However, as of February 7, 2024, the refinery had yet to distribute the products, with regulatory agencies still assessing its processes.
5. Major oil marketers eagerly awaited the release of refined products from the refinery, having registered for distribution.
6. The Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority was still evaluating the refinery's products before granting necessary approvals.
7. Independent oil marketers, including members of the Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria, awaited commercial terms for product supply.
8. The facility, located in Lagos, received crude oil batches starting from December 2023 to commence production.
9. While excited about the refinery's operations, uncertainties remained regarding pricing policies and market dynamics.
10. The cost of crude oil would significantly influence the pricing of diesel and aviation fuel from the Dangote refinery, with prices expected to reflect market conditions.

You Igbos do not want Peter Obi that looted billion to build Orient Petroleum Refinery that is yet to produce a single litre of fuel after 14 years of commissioning nightmare but you have been having nightmares about Dangote that never looted any money from your state to build his refinery which in less than a year is already producing kerosene and aviation fuel.

Can you see how pathetic you reason ?!

APC need to explain why they rush the commissioning of this refinery when they knew it was far from ready for commissioning. They just wasted money and raised people's hope on nothing.
Olodo, it's Dangote refinery and not APC refinery or government owned

Hmmm, it Is well. I no even know wetin to believe for this country again. Today, una go talk sey refinery don start production.... tomorrow una go talk sey 650,000 barrels of crude oil no dey to supply Dangote refinery....now, una dey talk sey approval dey delay production. What exactly should we believe. The useless clueless government on their own can't effectively manage a refinery on their own. Oya, give a private man that built the refinery approval, it's still a problem for the government

We are tired of their trash talk
If Una no wan release fuel at a cheap price...make una drown in it

It's now much easier for any sensible Nigerian to identify paid Urchnns working for APC.

They are so obvious that it's almost sickening how imaginative they are.

I doubt if most of these people have a degree or perhaps they studied Physical Education or Nigerian languages.

Something that doesn't require critical thinking, imagination and intelligence.

If you claim this refinery commissioning was rushed but in less than a year it started production what do you say about Orient Petroleum Peter Pandora the oloriburuku Pandora Criminal commissioned over 14 years ago but till this hour it is yet to produce a single litre of kerosene diesel or fuel ?!

Just thinking Tinubu led APC government may over taxed the Dangote oil for their selfish reasons. They want more money for another SUPER YATCH, maybe to fund the presidential traveling from 15 billion naira to 30 billion or more in 2024 budget. Useless APC government

In this same forum one quack monicker insulted me for saying that the government cannot direct how dangote runs his business

How can dangote have license to be producing diesel and aviation fuel yet they don't have the license to produce fuel that the masses consume most.
my brother, don't mind them. It was this same quack mindset that made them sang for this empty-head, corrupt no do good noise makers who rigged their way into power today.

The masses generate the main money and power the economy. PMS that is used majorly by the masses, will never be considered for price reduction in anyway

Once it comes to naija matter, story aka kleg must enter.
Before it was oil producing country importing petrol, diesel, a national disgrace. We need refinaries was the tori. OK dangote along with Nigerian peoples money built refinary, now as per naija kleg tins, dangote has to import crude oil from America to run the refinery! No be juju be that?
More so, is it not JUJU that government that cannot operate its 4 refineries despite billions of dollars poured into them is the same people having to regulate and give approvals to dangote refinary?
Naija and kleg= 5&6. undecided

Hahahahahaha... Let's continue to deceive ourselves in this country. We go dey alright. Ordinarily these delays wouldn't really concern the citizens seeing that it's a private business but then let's remember the NNPC who have somehow refused to revamp or build new refineries hold a reasonable stake in the refinery

NNPC has a 27% stake in Dangote refinery.
Re: Government Approval Delays Dangote Refinery Fuel by ValarDoharis: 9:48am On Feb 08
Nigeria has almost 20% share in Dangote refinery so its not totally private

Orient petroleum is an oil exploration firm, which has never claimed to own a refinery. They drill crude oil from Anambra state and sell, just like Shell, Chevron, Eni and other oil firms does in other places. Stop propagating lies to cover the ineptitude of your paymasters

Let nobody deceive us
A pregnancy that is 7 months old cannot be said to be delayed
If you are going to produce aviation fuel it must be tested for safety
That takes time
Is it now taking MORE THAN USUAL time ?
If not there Is NO DELAY
Dangote refinery must have factored such testing into its calculation
To talk of delay is BLACKMAIL

Just imagine during the COVID pandemic attempting to rush through a drug without testing and trying to blackmail the regulator into hasty approval with talk of delay

Delay means something is taking longer than usual

So that must be evidence based

How long is it normally supposed to take?
Re: Government Approval Delays Dangote Refinery Fuel by Tap0lane: 10:25am On Feb 08
How you Igbo lie shamelessly is what still baffles in this country.

Even the cursed bastard Peter Pandora. Obi you are defending declared it to be the first refinery in Nigeria as underlined in green for your bigoted tribalistic soul to see but I know that won't stop you from lying n claiming it is still not a refinery to another person. That is how shamelessly despicable you obidient are.

Approval to be d monopoly of everything. That nobody will be able to import refined product into d country without Dangote approval.

Why can't Dangote post his proposal to d media space so that Nigerians can see how greedy he is.

Nigeria will never grow if this man keep having his way.
