Oboto700:I’m just tired 🥱 of our ungrateful attitude in this country… many world class strikers fired blank during tournaments 🏟 and nothing happened. We’re always ready to belittle our own at slightest 😏😏… God bless Big VIC 🙏 Proud to have him as a Nigerian 💯🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬 8 Likes 3 Shares |

BankyGee:Kudos to him. We all wrote him off here (except for few) before the tournament. He made the super eagles a defensive monster. It’s really a win for him because he was having a rough time in his coaching career before the super eagles job came. Having the AFCON trophy in his CV will surely boost him for more international football job. Even if doesn’t win, he has proven his worth and should get him juicy offer if he choose not to continue with the super eagles. 1 Like 1 Share |

AFCON 98 was the last time an AFCON final ended with more than a goal margin. Expecting an edgy encounter, either 1:0 or 2:1. We are yet to score more than a goal in a game so far. Boys need to be at their clinical best as chances no go too dey...sad hearing loss of lives cos of the tension of yesterday's game. |

How will someone come out and say this kinda nonsense against Victor Osimhen that has been playing his hearts out for the country and is involved in 96% of all our goals/victories in this tournament? I can bet you he played with discomfort in that yesterday's match and one psychiatric patient wey dem no strap well for ward just run snatch phone for GSM store dey type rubb!sh for here... codemaniacs: I disagree, lest we forget it’s not long he came back from an injury and from what we currently hear he’s still nursing an injury and also the stomach issue. You can see the South Africans went for that stomach in the first few minutes yesterday to worsen the injury. Dude is not back to full fitness but he’s the one carrying the team. I’ve listened to lots of foreign media and no one is condemning him but praising him instead for what he does for the team 4 Likes 1 Share |

Alex Iwobi has been colossal in this Afcon without question and done enough in a general sense to compliment Onyeka's Warrior CM energy in the middle but truth be told, he is no DLP. Many won't like this but the truth must be said... In this 343, Nwakali will shine alongside an Onyeka or an Ndidi. In a 3 man midfield, Iwobi will have better impact as he will play much more advanced while the other 2 stay in the central or defensive midfield zones (ofcos one of them would enter advanced zones from time to time as well depending on the phases of play). To be honest, check out Alhassan when he came on against SA. The passes were more progressive and more fluid. Alhassan brought that urgency energy in his passing. His only dent was that penalty he gave away. But his entrance alongside Chuks brought the needed urgency before the goal we scored. Iwobi's best game at this Afcon have come against Equatorial Guinea in a midfield 3. It is not shocking. Goke7: 2 Likes 1 Share |

Ndidi and Onyeka together is tempting but both must properly understand their roles. One must sit and the other must roam. Ndidi already roams at Leicester so I won't fancy Ndidi and Onyeka playing together. They have similar energy and roaming style at this point. It could provide a problem of imbalance from a tactical point. Ndidi/Onyeka-Alhassan/Nwakali-Iwobi is the way forward in a midfield 3. When you have a warrior like Ndidi at CDM or Onyeka sitting (but with licence to bomb forward), you need a highly creative and fairly defensive minded CM with broader on-field vision who will compliment Iwobi's quick witted creative game in the final third.
