Let us release 2 trillion metric tonnes of rice and fufu from our reserves, and pretend as if the high cost of Transportation is not the major problem.

....I don't buy idea of distributing, rather make it available across the country at fixed rate. For example, a Bag of Rice should be sold for ₦20,000 and no one should be allowed to buy more than a bag at a time.

Get Representatives to handle the sales across all LGs, but make sure EFCC, ICPC and DSS are part of the team as well.

LG Secretariats can temporarily be made selling points.
Your idea is spot on but this is Nigeria not a reasonable country....

......honestly this is really sad. Whatever Reforms they are doing should be suspended for now for the sake of masses.

Foodstuff must be subsidized, this is a matter of give and take. You don remove fuel subsidy, then replace it with food subsidy. Let Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Trade handle it.

Do you believe we really have this ......?

The question is not whether we have

The question is how many people can 100 tonnes. (100,000 kilos) feed

I say 100,000 people for one day

.....that's why I suggest ICPC, EFCC and DSS to be part of the team. I believe it will work to some extent. Add Military to maintain discipline and security.

The problem is we are absolutely an import based country who/which rely heavily on importation.

We are already doomed from the onset.........

Instead of finding a solution to the inflation, na national reserves dem wan rob.

So after sharing 100 metric tonnes of rice, and even importing with a scarce dollars, what next?

Rice dey market. The problem is we cannot afford it.

So after the 2 billion tonnes have finished, we will still come back and meet our 72k per bag, where we left it.

Can someone share that manifesto again? I wan check something

.....if we import directly from Thailand, it won't be up to that bro. A 50kg of Rice is less down ₦30k in Benin Republic.

I remember when Baba Oyoyo first banned Rice Importation, Thailand reached out to us for a deal but Baba ignored.

We can reach back to them for reasonable deal now. Import directly, Government to Government, from Thailand.
