Oboto700: that our coach wey no dey gree for anybody? Na the man fit our stubborn media and fans nature of complaining, just that he may dump us after this afcon. Since I listened to him when said if he's looking for goals that's when we go see the likes of Iheanacho and co coming in na there I know say this coach no send anybody papa. |

Odunayaw: you can't understand because our environment is differently run from the way things work elsewhere. |

comodo:Let's play semifinals everyday so Nigerians can be happy and jolly. The joy we reaped on that day came from fellow Nigerians doing their job and getting the results of their labor. Let those who watched them do likewise, desisting from infantile blame games and maybe we would have cause to celebrate more. |

Goke7:The environment you speak so highly of have tons of thesis. You're free to check the American Journalism of Medicine. The buck rests squarely on the spectator [especially as he is nowhere near the stadium]. It is his responsibility to decide how far he can go. And just this year a fan died from Cardiac arrest during a Bolton match. The 2014 WC recorded at least 3 at-home fans death due to cardiac arrest. |

Odunayaw: were the deaths related to VAR? shebi it's because we still won the game, imagine it was 0-0 and we scored and it was canceled and 1-0 for naija became 1-0 for SA, do you know how many deaths we will be recording now? I can bet some researchers at FIFA are already looking into this Make we no argue too much, Euros is coming up in June, we go see how it will go there. |

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Odunayaw(m): 11:07am On Feb 09 |
Goke7:VAR wasn't incorrect. Again, the responsibility is on the fan. In fact it becomes absurd to argue when such a fan has an underlying health condition. 1 Like 2 Shares |

Goke7:The car example is a different scenario. Those deceased (RIP) were not the only ones watching the match. VAR and the ref were just doing their job. Moreso, they were not forced to watch the match. |

Goke7:Which environment you dey talk about sef? The WC final was even more tense. Was it played in 'our environment'? It is a personal choice to watch the match or not. Nobody forced anybody. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by mostob(m): 11:28am On Feb 09 |
Odunayaw:I just tire.... It is a matter of how far a fan can go with the match. Not like VAR was wrong sef. Man be mentioning our environment as if no be the same football we have been watching all these years. What if the fans that died have underlying health issue. 1 Like 2 Shares |

Marjoribanks: Nothing wrong with having a captain Fabio Cannavaro of Italy winning such after an impressive display for Italy when they won the World Cup. In fact Matarazzi his fellow defender was probably more outstanding than him. But winning as the captain for Ekong is deserved. Since we agreed that we played a defensive style of football. 1 Like |

Goke7:Hahaha hahaha, e no go work. There's a principle in law called volenti non fit injuria meaning if you willingly put yourself in a position and you suffer harm, you cannot claim damages. Do you know how many boxers and wrestlers and other athletes have died in the course of a game? You can't claim damages oo. The only thing just get insurance. Shey na CAF put gun for their head and told them to watch the game? Let's even talk of a more practical situation cos this one you talking about in-game decisions being influenced by the danger it poses to fans is outlandish. See that offside rule where they allow play to finish before calling for offside? What if a player gets injured due to not calling offside immediately as it used to be but allowing play to go on and then rule offside. Meanwhile person don wound 1 Like 1 Share |
