Cassandraloius:Why did the woman open legs for an irresponsible man.. Let her take care of the kids alone, and assume the man is late. Arresting him won't make him change.. Abi he go dey make money inside cell to take care of the children. He is just not responsible .. Maybe a drunk, womanizer or a gambler. 2 Likes |

ivolt: To enact such Law their has to be proof beyond doubt that you are the Father. Trust me some men would deny paternity until they are confronted with undeniable evidence (DNA test). Hopefully we get there someday. |

If the said children do not live with the man, the court has no warrant to arrest him because children are supposed to provide help to their parents and that does not necessarily exclude financial help provided the parents have provided shelter. |

Most Nigerian women are generally lazy that is why oyinbo no dey look their face for abroad.Go abroad family responsibility is shared between the man and the woman except the man is financial really ok.But here dem go marry man and expect him to carry the whole financial burden including that of their families.Nigerian men are really wonderful. |

ivolt:Has any woman ever been arrested for abandoing their kids? Or dont women also abandon kids? Most times, men fund these kids alone even if the woman is with them. So, what is stopping women from doing same? The last time I checked, women abandon kids too and no one has ever arrested them. 2 Likes |

Fiscus105: This seems to be a common problem... people just jump8ng to conclusions without paying attention to details. The judge is the man's brother ... so why would one even suggest the matter wasn't taken up by the family? Most likely he told family members they can kiss his ass ... that nobody can make him pay .... so they turned to the courts. He must be a werey for his brother to send him to prison. 1 Like |

Fiscus105:some things are beyond the courts. The court can punish him for not taking care of his children but that in itself will neither change the life of the children nor help the marriage. Even the punishment itself is legally weak in basis. Family is the most delicate institution and must be handled a such. |

waveman2: Nigerian women are one of the most hardworking women on earth, stop with the huge lies. They are one of the few who have been able to juggle work and childcare, with no stress. Men pay child support abroad to their "oyinbo wife". Stop with the hate against your own. No young and beautiful Oyinbo woman would look at your face twice, much less have your child unless you are a pro basketballer, well known actor, wealthy businessman or she needs to fulfill her fantasy of the infamous big black kock. The best oyinbo YOU can probably get is the one who has been ran through by several white and black kocks, has been divorced at least twice and is old and looks like a whale. 🐋 The rejected ones Go to foreign forums and see how they are looked down upon, for letting themselves lay down with a black man and becoming a baby mama to a black man. The only incentive is if the black man comes with some big fame and mullah. Otherwise, the stigma remains forever. To the average oyinbo, you are a walking pernis. That is, you are only good for a shag. Hardly do I know a family man who provides 100% for his family in Nigeria. When you are not Dangote or Otedola. Taaaah!!! How much is your yeye salary? Abi is it not the same Nigerian men complaining of no jobs and N50K, N70K salary? "Nigerian women are generally lazy" You think when you date an oyinbo, when you both come back from work after a stressful day... she will enter kitchen and start cooking while you lie down in the room watching Manchester vs Chelsea Match. Ndi ara! You go enter kitchen dey cut tomatoes and carrot 🥕. I'm sorry to say, but you are a moomoo man. 2 Likes |

All these rubbish laws from the west will not work in Nigeria. This is the same way the West women started to manipulate the society. You don't know the guys story so don't judge. What ie have now in the west is the guy cannot even see their children, they have been kicked out of their homes. Its all emotional manipulation by women. Niger men will never accept this. |

Jokerman: Do not be surprised, even after killing their wives their next line of thought is "she has destroyed his life, making him land in jail." Nigerian women have been able to juggle work, childcare, in - laws and so much more without stress, often neglecting themselves in the process. Even the average "slay queen" on getting married will open a makeup store, sell cloths online or do something, anything to bring some bread home. Majority of Nigerian men CAN SIMPLY NOT AFFORD to be the sole providers in the family but they boost their ego online by false statements. If he provides his wife and children with all their needs singlehandedly, let him add her to Nairaland and let her testify. You think providing for the family stops at giving her 4k to make pot of soup? Ndi ara All the women in my apartment block go to their offices and shops in the morning and still manage to cater for the wellbeing of their children. I magine that some of their husbands come online with the same sentiments. What a shame! 2 Likes |
