At this stage, I have to give a big shout-out to Marjoribanks. He's one of the few here who voiced his relentless and persistent support for the Super Eagles before the Afcon. I may not like some of his opinions, especially when it comes to Nwakali, but his unceasing attitude didn't go unnoticed. I hope Musa makes a cameo appearance tomorrow. He should be the one lifting the trophy, like Yobo did in 2013. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

It will be down to who really wants it. At this stage who really has a psychological edge? |

I'm quite ignorant about this, so I'd like to ask those who may know. When we win tomorrow's final, who's going to raise the trophy? Troost Ekong, our on field captain or Ahmed Musa, our captain? Cause i really would love Ekong to lift it, for so many reasons. 1 Like 1 Share

KanielOutis92:The team captain would lift it. Although them fit arrange to lift it together as Bruno and Maguire did last year. |

Joebie:1. The pressure is on CIV as they're the host. 2. We have beaten them in the group stage so we might have a very slight psychological edge. 3. We have the better and maybe a complete team. Just saying 2 Likes 1 Share |

Tomorrow any team can win. But when it comes to this question you need to be objective. Look at it both ways. Modified If Nigeria were in their shoes. Having lost the first game by a slim margin, in front of our fans and have had a fairytale run so far with revenge now in our minds. Will we really be under pressure? mostob: 1 Like 1 Share |

Nathan Tella with an assist to give Bayer Leverkusen a 2-0 lead vs Bayern Munich in a top of the table super clash in the Bundesliga. Leverkusen remains unbeaten. Massive. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

So u could not stop to think if we were in their shoes. I excuse ladies for being overly emotional. However men need to apply a great deal of logic. I want us to win tomorrow. In fact I’m praying for it. But I will always be objective, because God is also an Ivorian lol mostob: |

Joebie:What exactly are you saying? I gave you my opinions and why I feel CIV will be under pressure. Wetin bring emotion and ladies talk? Whether we're in their shoes or in their boxers, the scenarios are still the same. Nigeria would never want to lose twice to a team in a single tourney. 1 Like |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Joebie: 8:19pm On Feb 10 |
Thats the point. Our players need all the motivation like they never met CIV before. A team that lost scandalously to EG 4-0. Chamged rheir coach and have managed to pull through to the finals in front of their home fans each game, have only one thing in their minds which is revenge. They are not under pressure to win the trophy because all hope seemed lost at a point. They are determined to beat us, and if they do, the trophy will just be an icing on the cake. I repeat, what we need right now is the right minds around the players talking the right talk, not politicians which could be counter productive . DissTroy: |
