It's probably your location. Try find out what network is very good in your location so you can be using that.

Some networks are not good in some locations. You just have to figure out the one that is good by asking people what network they are using for data in your area that is very fast.

I hope your modem is a mifi 4g modem, because if it s 3g modem, then you are on your own.

I suggest you walk into the nearest mtn office and purchase their 4g mifi. I priced it a few weeks ago and one costs just 7k and another one costs 10k.

Or if your phone uses 4g just connect it as Hotspot to your laptop.

I don't have any other money to spare for that but this might be the last time I'm patronizing any Nigerian selling in a shop, if I have money, I will order from jumia or any online platforms.

That is a 3g modem. People don't even collect such stuffs for free again. The person that sold this to you is a very wicked individual. Pls when you have some money, just walk into a MTN office and buy a 4g mifi, they have one for 7k and one for 10k. They even come with free data.

After buying it, you can unlock it so that it works with all network. There is a guy on Nairaland here that does it for people.

Boss, they told me the one for 7.5k is 12k and another one (which 2 customer care attendants told me was 10k and 1 said was 15k) was 16k — which I l later bought for 15k after they refused to sell for 12k. That's why they claimed they had no invoice and even when I told them I had already contacted the customer care attendants, they didn't bulge.

This one has an external battery and antennas, I had to connect them to it before the internet connection became stable. It came with a charger that has the type of "mouth" laptop chargers possess. When I plug it in, no light reflects on the battery icon except I switch the battery on.

I also found out that the external battery's wire that connects to the device isn't stable, once you touch it, it goes off . I'm returning it, they can't scam me out of my money and still give me something that's not good!

At first, the internet connection wasn't that strong but I guess it was trying to adapt — it became excellent later. Thanks.

Are you sure you went to an MTN authorized shop? Pls return it ASAP.

You can buy the MTN mifi online on the MTN website or even on Jumia.

Or you can search for MTN shops for your particular town on Google.

Wr are far too dubious in this country.
