Very poor performance by super eagles. You can't go to the final in a football tournament with the mindset of winning by luck.
Nigeria was sitting too deep from the start to finish. No bite upfront. Why? They thought the Ivorians came to the party to romance.

Jose P also committed a silly blunder by starting some players. Too bad.

Good job guys!

The problem with our team is the midfield. No chances created, no good marking. Moreover, we got too relax in 2nd half as if we were winning by 4 goals.

Anyways, you guys did your best.

Why on earth would the coach start with Chukwueze? Which kind useless formation he used for this match? The midfield was so empty

That being said, the referee was biased. He was always pandering to the host.

Anyways, it was a good outing for Nigeria. When Nigeria lost against Guinea just before the tournament, I was expecting Nigeria to be lashed in the tournament but the coach changed a lot of the lineup before the first match and that helped. The midfield was still lacking though. The coach could have probably persisted with Onyedika even if Onyedika was part of the lineup that lost to Guinea before the tournament, just like he persisted with Zaidu, Ekong and Chukwueze. He should have Just bring in Aribo to partner with Onyedika in the midfield. Anyways, good outing overall.

Actually,

We gave CIV this final even before the game started!

Everything you said here was what I said.

Even from the 60th mins, I was fuming for the coach to remove Iwobi and put Alhassan.

Bring in Terrem Mofi.
Play and hold ball rather than this onesided aerial ball always being delivered to Osimhen and will end up being collected.

Our possession no dey reach 30s, they don collect am back from us again.
...

The useless coach reminds me of arteta last season...

All because you want to prove what??

Why change your winning formation especially in the final?? Not group stage... Final for Christ sake.... Damn!!!

I'm heart broken... I'm just trying to hold it together

This is what you see when a team that was supposed to leave in the round of 16, where lucky to get to the final.

This is the most embarrassing football I have watched in the last 10 years.

The problem of this team has always been the midfield. We need creative midfielders. Iwobi cannot give a simple accurate pass, haba. To me iwobi is the worst super Eagle player in this tournament.

The coach used a very useless formation.

Starting the match with Chukwueze was a very bad idea.

Ivory coast nearly buried Nigeria today. The players are all useless. They couldn't mark nor attack. Ordinary run and attack they couldn't do. Their passes were useless. Super eagles no even see ball play for the entire match. Ivory coast outplayed Nigeria by far

But that’s because they’re playing with juju!
I NO GREE!!

I will be very surprised if Osimhen gets a top club after his performance in this tournament. Nobody is talking about his work rate. We know he works hard for the team. But at the end of the day, a striker’s job is to score goals. Look at Haller. Give him half a chance, he scores. That’s a striker.
