Greenback: That's the point! You have to be considerate about your neighbors welfare too, not only you sabi sleep or heat de worry. Your generator noise can keep 15 people awake while you sleep, so that's okay for you? Besides, the law in Lagos state says that the standard approved noise level in residential areas shall not exceed 55 decibels during the day and 45 decibels at night. And most generators are over 60 decibels depending on how close you live to them. 1 Like |

nairalanda1: - 2nd corrupt organisation in Nigeria - frustrated pre-paid metre for all - 16bill dollars lost - nepotism and man-know-man in recruiting engineers -sold NEPA to politicians - many houses in north DO NOT PAY NEPA BILLS. I witnessed it myself; meaning that the south is the one subsidising the WHOLE country - generator - import cabals in government --------------------------------------------------------------- With all these, how will NEPA setting their prices ( WHICH THEY HAVE ACTUALLY SET BECAUSE WW HAVE BEEN TOLD IT HAS BEEN PRIVATISED) or which one was the fault of the common man? I think your job as an APC propagandist needs further training. Once you ppl are stuck, you love shifting blame on previous administration. |
Re: The Current Heatwave. My Room Was 37c This Afternoon. Enugu by nairalanda1(m): 8:58am On Feb 14 |
caye: And all the above happen because government sets its prices, meaning they have to resort to sharp practices to make ends meet, especially ripping off consumers on estimated billing. If you were in business, you won't want government controlling your prices. Because you will struggle to make a profit, and thus problems will start. Ever wonder why there is no corruption in the GSM sector, the baking sector even the people that sell food in the market or your local provision store? Profit making. POwer sector on the other hand is forced to charge low prices to make people happy, then they are forced to accept a subsidy that can't cover for the resulting loss. Naturally, issues result. Then power theft, etc etc. At the end, either remove subsides from the power sector and let it sell at a profit, and you will see improved service. Go after power thieves, give everyone a meter freely, and the sector will work, because WHY BE CORRUPT OR DO SABOTAGE, when it could harm the bottom line. I think your job as an APC propagandist needs further training. Once you ppl are stuck, you love shifting blame on previous administration. My views have nothing to do with politics, and APC Is even a big supporter of price controls and subsides, which I am essentially arguing against. ALso, calm down, you don't have to be abusive man. |
Re: The Current Heatwave. My Room Was 37c This Afternoon. Enugu by nairalanda1(m): 9:04am On Feb 14 |
caye: Well, whatever you think of me, things have to be sold at a profit, because, at the end, suppliers, gas sellers, etc, etc...all want to be paid at the price they set. P.S Thanks for calling me brainwashed. That was uncalled for, and I did not abuse you. And you know it. You know, you can disagree with me without being abusive. If I called you a brainwashed person, you would be very angry. If I abused you using other bad language , you won't like it. You are not a child. You have enough wisdom to defend your points with facts. Engaging in abuse shows you as a small minded person, which I am sure you are not. Anyway, I will be reporting you to the moderators for abuse. If you cannot discuss without being abusive, then keep quiet. Good morning. 2 Likes |

tollyboy5:there is solar AC... Connect 1000 watts of solar panel direct to it.... The sun will run it in the afternoon... And yes you can connect both nepa as well, so that if the sun is not enough it will take some energy from nepa to complete it... Afternoon savings will be noticed. |
