yMcy56:Well said. For the purpose of education, so many people don't know the numerous benefits accrue from being a director or majority shareholder in a company. Some of these includes the power to influence the choice of contractors supplying goods to the company, power to appoint people into juicy positions in the company etc. Why do you think Tony quickly fend off Otedola from transcorp. Same reason Jim Ovia, Otedola and others have been busy acquiring the shares of their various banks in every slight opportunity in order to have controlling power in their banks. 6 Likes |

Zenith Bank has been paying good dividend annually in the past 10 years and it is 100 percent likely that Zenith Bank will pay better dividend in the next 10 years. Those that doesn't want to miss opportunities are silently buying NASCON at current price. Though I am yet to get all the units I want, but I intend to wait for the release of DS result which in my opinion may likely bring the price of both DS and NASCON down a little, by then I will buy DS and more NASCON. As a reminder, don't forget @customstreet submission on both stocks. Therefore, I advise that you strategically position yourself for the harvest. |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by kolaish(m): 2:09pm On Feb 14 |
PuristForest:Thanks for your submission, I appreciate. In the NGX, never say never. That is why I will not argue your position. The price touching N40 may happen if the NGX as a whole is bearish for days. But personally, I doubt if it will go lower than N48 until the consumation of Dangfoods. In addition, I see NASCON coming out with good Q4 result that will sustain the price above N50. 1 Like |

kolaish: Nigerian stock market has its own mind. A bad annual report does not make the prices go down by intuition. You think those already buying Dangote Sugar are not aware that the result will be bad? Why did Cadbury price go up after a very poor result. UACN posted a fantastic result and price refuse to move up, rather it went down. FCMB with fantastic result and price is down I have learnt to look in the long run 3 Likes |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by ndept: 2:31pm On Feb 14 |
vacanci:You have good points though. But a bad result when released, will definitely have impact on a stock no matter how little. Recall that the price of DS went down for about 2 days when they released bad Q3 before picking up again. The cadbury you referenced went down for some days also before picking up again. I also see DS result going down for 2 days after they release their Q4. By then I will buy the large chunk I want to buy. However, these are all postulations. As you say, the market has a voice of its own. 1 Like |

Let me shed more light on this so it doesn't send a wrong message across. Over 24m units of Ellah were 'mistakenly' credited to a friend's account by his brokers... What we observed today was the broker trying to offload those units. I believe it'll continue tomorrow... KarlTom: |
