Gabrie300: You can worship any day you choose to provided it's done to God's glory. God is more interested in the state of your heart than a day of worship. This is why Apostle Paul said; Romans 14:5-6. 5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. 6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks 1 Like 1 Share |

Ken4Christ: You can worship anyday but Friday evening to.saturday evening is The Holy Day. |
Re: What Is The Right Day For Worshipping (sunday Or Saturday) by Ken4Christ: 10:14am On Feb 14 |
Dtruthspeaker: There is no such thing under the New Testament Dispensation. Read the verse below; Colossians 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days. Romans 15:5-6 5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. note 6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks. 1 Like 1 Share |

In true worship, all days are acceptable unto the Lord. Just as my beloved brother, Ken4Christ has rightly said with relevant scriptural references. In this New Testament dispensation, you can worship God anytime, any day and any where. You are God's temple. Not a building. He dwells in you and is with you all the time to accept your worship. If you decide to set any day apart as your special day for God, it would be accepted and God would immediately mark that day as a special day of appointment between you and Him. Most Christians actually think that worship is only what you do in church when you clap, sing, dance and open a Bible. Worship is more than that. Your life itself is a means of worship. When you're pleasing God with the way you live, it's another form of worship. When you help your fellow humans in God's name or give to the cause of the Gospel, that's another form of worship as long as IT IS DONE IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH. That's why Jesus said: John 4: "21 ...believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. 22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. 23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." The very essence of worship in the new testament is to make our lives glorify God by making ourselves living sacrifices, holy and acceptable unto God which is OUR TRUE WORSHIP. God won't accept your Sunday or Saturday or any day worship if you miss the true worship. Romans 12:1 (Amplified Version): "Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies [dedicating all of yourselves, set apart] as a living sacrifice, holy and well-pleasing to God, which is your rational (logical, intelligent) act of worship." Contrary to what my beloved brother Dtruthspeaker said, there's no particular holy day. Whatever day you choose as holy is holy unto you. And if you choose no holy day, you're not commiting any sin. 1 Like |

You need to understand that, Christ is the focal point of the Law, the very One who consummates the Law as he brings it to its completion and fulfillment. That is the reason the scripture says "For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes." Romans 10:4 Since Christ became End of the Law, "Therefore the Law has become our tutor to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith." Galatians 3:24 In foregoing, you'll see the view of the New Testament writers that the Hebrew Scriptures were deliberately designed by God to foreshadow Christ and his Church. The OT Scriptures contained shadows, types, analogies, and copies of spiritual realities that awaited the coming of Christ. OT peoples, places, events and things were deliberately designed to be copies of a far greater spiritual reality, with Christ manifesting that reality through his fulfillment of it. This was clearly stated in the scripture "Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ." Colossians 2:16-17 Example of Christ consummation in the Bible is the Sabbath Day. See how NT writer put it in Hebrew 4. "Therefore, while the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us fear lest any of you should seem to have failed to reach it. For the Gospel came to us just as to them, but the message they heard did not benefit them, because they were not united by faith with those who listened. For we who have believed enter that rest, as he has said, As I swore in my wrath, They shall not enter my rest, although his works were finished from the foundation of the world. For he has somewhere spoken of the seventh day in this way: And God rested on the seventh day from all his works. And again in this passage he said, They shall not enter my rest. Since therefore it remains for some to enter it, and those who formerly received the Gospel failed to enter because of disobedience, again he appoints a certain day, Today, saying through David so long afterward, in the words already quoted, Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts. For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken of another day later on. So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever HAS ENTERED GOD'S REST has also rested from his works as God did from his. Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience." Hebrews 4:1-11 As you can see, Sabbath Day is a shadow of the reality of Christ coming to give God's people eternal rest. That's why Christ Himself said, "And he said to them, ‘The sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath; so the Son of man is lord even of the sabbath.’" Mark 2:27-28 1 Like |

It depends on your location and brethren that also believe the same thing as you do. For many Sunday is OK but to others Saturday is good to go. God's word mandated Saturdays for Israelites as a nation and it was written in their country's constitution during the time of Moses but now that we are no longer under that constitution each individual is free to associate with fellow believers at a time most appropriate as long as they are your fellow believers in the same God! |

Re: What Is The Right Day For Worshipping (sunday Or Saturday) by FxMasterz: 2:52pm On Feb 14 |
Dtruthspeaker: Exodus 20:11 is a shadow. God is not interested in days. He's interested in people. Jesus first gave the hint when He said: “The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath” (Mathew 2:27) The Sabbath is symbolic of God's rest which He gives to Believers as the Rest of Salvation. The rest is fulfilled in Christ Jesus because everyone who receives Christ automatically enters into the Rest of God. Believers live in a perpetual Sabbath. Not just one day out of 7. All days are Sabbaths for believers. God must be worshipped all days and not just one day in a week. All our lives on earth are Sabbath life. We are in God's eternal rest. Not just one day in a week but all our lives. Fior better understanding, read Hebrews 3 and 4 where the scriptures explained Exodus 20:11 in light of the new testament dispensation. Remember that the Lord Jesus Himself is Lord of the Sabbath: Mathew 12:8. |

Gabrie300:There is no real day of worship. All days are for worship. Yes,various religious sects can decide to choose or set aside anyday from Monday to Sunday to gather and wordhip, but true worship isn't gathering. True worship is simply having faith(that is: To worship in spirit and in truth), and having faith is something that is part of your daily life as a believer. Therefore true worship is every day, so long you are alive 1 Like |

FxMasterz: Yet the disciples obeyed it,as seen in Luke 23:56 and other scriptures. Hmmm. You people dont love yourselves o. |
Re: What Is The Right Day For Worshipping (sunday Or Saturday) by FxMasterz: 3:20pm On Feb 14 |
Dtruthspeaker: The disciples couldn't have done otherwise in that context. They obeyed custom or law of the nation knowing' fully well in their hearts that the era of observing physical days was past. Do you have any reference in the Acts of Apostles when the church was in full operation where the Apostles observed such sabbatical rest? It's very dangerous for believers to stand where God was yesterday without taking note of where God is today. We're in the New testament. Not the old. The Sabbath is fulfilled in Christ Jesus. Have you studied Hebrews 3 and 4? |
Re: What Is The Right Day For Worshipping (sunday Or Saturday) by Dtruthspeaker: 12:19pm On Feb 15 |
FxMasterz: Now you are moving the standard. First, it was the disciples never kept the sabbath but now i have shown you they did, you have changed post to "full operation". it is fatal to never listen to God especially after He has warned that He Honours His Word even above heaven and earth. He even Said, Forever! Love yourselves o man and live by fearing God and His Word |
Re: What Is The Right Day For Worshipping (sunday Or Saturday) by FxMasterz: 1:37pm On Feb 15 |
Dtruthspeaker: Please read Hebrews 3 and 4. The disciples never observed Sabbath. I told you why they did in that only instance you quoted. I also showed you what the Lord Jesus said about the Sabbath. Anyway, no one would go to hell for keeping or not keeping a day or days. All these were spiritual symbolisms in the old testament which Jesus fulfilled in the new. If you observe a day or days as being holy. You observed them to God. if you do not observe any particular day but choose all days as being holy. It is to God as well. |
Re: What Is The Right Day For Worshipping (sunday Or Saturday) by Dtruthspeaker: 8:02am On Feb 16 |
FxMasterz: Hebrews 3 and 4 does not show Paul disobeying The Sabbath Whereas Luke23:56 shows them obeyiing it. Bro, Fear God ooo. |
Re: What Is The Right Day For Worshipping (sunday Or Saturday) by FxMasterz: 8:47am On Feb 16 |
Dtruthspeaker: To you one day is your chosen day to honour God. To me, all days are God's days. To you, you worship God only in a temple on a Sabbath. To me, I worship God anywhere and everywhere because I'm God's temple. In what way am I not fearing God? You rest only one day of the week. I rest all days in Christ Jesus because "We who have believed in Him do enter into His rest." The 6th day rest is a foreshadowing of God's eternal rest for those who are in Christ Jesus. This is well explained in Hebrew 3 and 4 as well as several other scriptures. You're still in the old testament my brother. God is already in the new. I would do a scripture exposition regarding Hebrews 3 and 4 if you oblige. Meanwhile, you couldn't point out any place where the disciples observed the Sabbath in their gatherings all through their ministries. Your reference is a single reference to a time they observed it because it was the national law. There's evidence in Scripture that the disciples even worshipped on Sundays. All is well in Jesus name. |

Re: What Is The Right Day For Worshipping (sunday Or Saturday) by Dtruthspeaker: 2:28pm On Feb 16 |
FxMasterz: The bible clearly shows us that God has taken One day in the week (and some other specific days too) to be His Own. Just One specific day laid down for us and Him. And that day gave birth to the perverted and watered down word "Holiday" which clearly means "Holy Day". it is not you or i who chose the-Day but God Himself! Thus, God did not say that you cannot worship Him on any other day but by The Law of Obedience, any man who truly loves and reverence God must stop for Him, on that day which God has set for Himself and man. That is what obedient children do. No child expects his Father to follow him rather it is the duty of a child to follow his Father. The child does not dictate to his Father, rather it is the Father who dictates to the child. And we all know that a child dictating to his Father is an unrully, rebellious and evil child. |
