The Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, says Nigeria cannot continue to subsidise electricity, adding that the nation must begin to move towards a cost-effective tariff model, as the country is currently indebted to the tune of 1.3 trillion naira to generating companies (GenCos) and 1.3 billion dollars owed gas companies. https://www.channelstv.com/2024/02/14/just-in-fg-cant-continue-to-subsidise-electricity-power-minister/ 8 Likes 1 Share

Nigeria needs leaders that can create wealth. People that can think outside the box. We have the potentials but we lack visionary leaders. 100 Likes 6 Shares |

Running generator is far more expensive than any amount NEPA would charge. The problem is that you guys no dey give light. When Nigerians protest about bad power supply? In the next 100 years, that's how it would still be if we don't do anything 35 Likes 2 Shares |

The most inept minister of power in Nigeria's history. The IMF says jump and he asks how high, Nigerians have never ever heard his voice before concerning the dilapidated electricity sector until it was time to remove subsidy. W what a disgrace 66 Likes 3 Shares |

Till we have stable electricity... Subsidy must remain. If we will be paying premium ...we should enjoy premium service .. So, provide the premium service first, to justify premium payment. 34 Likes 2 Shares |

But they can continue to subsidize DARKNESS? Some areas have NOT seen power for over 48 hours. Given this crazy HEAT, Nigerians now have to choose between BOILING ALIVE or buying petrol at CRAZY PRICES and foregoing dinner. This is Tinubu's Nigeria. Back to the gencos, estimated billing should be CRIMINALIZED! It's MADNESS to give a 3-bedroom house 4 hours of power in every 24-hr cycle and then slam them with an electricity bill of #35K. 17 Likes 2 Shares |
