usagee36:300k in 2023 has more value than 300k in 2024. What you can use 300k to do last year, you will need like 500k to do the same thing presently. If you can still afford it, increase the amount you send to your parents back to $400 2 Likes |

abhosts: I personally consider investing in Nigeria while living abroad( in the West) more a case of giving back to the society what the society gave to me and not necessarily for economic reasons. If i want to invest in properties for economic gains , i will rather invest in certain selected Western european countries. 1 Like |

Maybe I should educate some of You, presently Nigeria cannot afford to use naira to defend dollars again, there is no money to pay subsidy again. Jonathan government wasted 30 billion dollars, the foreign reserve was 55 biilion dollas when he came,he left sparing 28 billon dollars. Buhari as incompetent as he was,he added 5 billion dollars to the reserve leaving 32 billion dollars. 1 Like 2 Shares |

OkanlawonB: What did the Nigerian society or government give to Nigerians living abroad? If that's too much to contemplate, how about what did the Nigerian society/government give to Nigerians? From security to education everything is paid out of pocket, sometimes you even pay without getting what you pay for.......People jaapa from a cancerous nation, you're asking them to give back......No be juju be that? 1 Like 1 Share |

ogododo: It’s not a crime but you sef check your post history. For every bad news you post, just know that it has a certain impact on your readers. For example, you would have a perfectly normal and fine day if you donot read about “breaking news, naira hits all time low” yesterday. Will it affect you? Yes but without the emotional trauma from reading the news. It has hit several all time lows and we are still here, breathing. You dont need to die twice which is what happens when you read bad news and then go through it again. I am not Apc o. Just a regular citizen trying to keep my head straight. 1 Like |

The problem with the naira is bc the past president has signed immunity with the current government not to be called upon on any issue, so all the fraud in the past government will be waved The current president must continue till 8years Since some of us has eaten their 8years money ahead during the elections. . 1 Like 1 Share |

AyeMoJuba: Mumu Is Tinubu sacrificing the way he tells people to sacrifice and endure sufferings? Sincerely, I am tempted to say that ALL APC supporters are Idiots. Imagine someone saying naira must be devalued further to attract investors. Who invests in an economy without value? I'm sure as you are now, you have a dollar account or trying to get one. And if you do that, it simply means you've invested in dollars not naira. You BAT supporters don't understand economics. You just open mouth WA! to say anything the government says. You don't think deeply. Have you asked yourself that since the instability of Naira issue, how many investors has the policy attracted? Sit down and think well before you talk. Patriotism is embedded in the knowledge and defence of truth of a nation, not in supporting just any government because of sentiments. 2 Likes |

abbey621: I dont know which age group you belong, probably younger than i am. I can attest to it that our nigerian society did gave something tangible to me, the free education up to university level myself and many nigerians of my generation benefited from is worthy of appreciation. Investing in something like real estate for rent at affordable price , is the least i can do to give back to the society what the society gave to me. By so doing providing job opportunities for those involved in the building project , payments into the government purse in the process of obtaining the right documention is also a form of contribution to the society. After working with paying full social insurance contributions for 3 decades in europe, the returns i get from such investment is of secondary importance to me.. |

OkanlawonB: From your write up it is clear that you belong to the Nigeria of old and not the Nigeria of the 90s and beyond. Since Abacha took over, I can't remmeber any free university education. Please know when we discuss issues let's look at things in their present state not some fantasies about what used to be. Nigeria hasn't given anything to its citizens since 1993 in fact all it does is take, take and take. Many dreams crushed, many hopes dashed.....An horror movie that continues to get worse day by day! |

Thislifee: E shock you abi? You be think say me and you dey the same level. While I was in the uni I focused graduated and worked in an international bank. I was scouted for in fact in my 3rd I was selected to write the Nigerian Brewery aptitude test. I declined because I knew where I was headed. This was why I told you to tell that your coconut head cousin in NSK to face his study and that given that you failed woefully at being a study by joining a gang, I can still advice you on how to better your life. I have met people like you gang members and they are now changed men and doing well with their lives. For the record I dey eat dinner for North America as we chat ontop company account and I go chop lunch for Asia tomorrow. Na company dey foot the bill. You know why? |

sukkot: The problem I have with agbadorians is that they don't understand basic economics. You think dangote will sell you crude below mkt price? He will sell that crude at naira equivalent of the dollar rate to make profit. that's point one. Point 2. Nnpc is not even producing enough crude to service dangote refinery. That's why they are looking to import from US. How does crude oil importation help Nigeria? Kai CC: Treadway |
