Vikkyexman:

Your POF will be calculated based on the exchange rate as at when the VO started processing your application.

How do I know it has started? Although it’s for a SOWP.

Anyone applying for study permit in this time of high exchange rate should ensure POF is properly calculated to avoid rejection for financial reason.

Living expenses + Tuition fees (per year) + Travel Expenses = Funds in your Bank Account.

That is, CAD20,635 + Tuition Fee + CAD2,000 x current exchange rate = Funds Needed.

Ensure you don't submit below this calculation.

If you have paid part of your tuition fees, that can be deducted from the total amount.

Note: This is for the PA only without dependant(s)

Any suggestions for 2 year program with first year fee paid?

Just got denied today.

“Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel
for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable).
• Pursuant to paragraph 220(b) of the IRPR, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and
available financial resources, without working in Canada, to maintain yourself and any family
members who are accompanying you during your proposed period of study.“

Background 2years MSC , fees is 1300/course (2courses for first semester) which I haven’t paid because school has not started registration. School only requested 1k for administrative fee.

Proof of fund 28m when Cad was (710) from a sales of property, all documents were notarized and attached.

I need advice and opinions on how to reapply.

Thank you 🙏
Are you going alone or with family?
If alone it's surprising 28m isn't enough for pof

Good afternoon house.....please how much does it cost to do deed of gift, the lawyer I contacted is telling me 100k, but I feel its extremely high....
That's a very fair price. Except you want to use all these regular charge and bail lawyers.
Use a verified SAN with a registered chambers. I paid something almost similar even tho i got cheaper options from regular lawyers

If funds for second year is available, you can show it with your living and travel cost. If not available, show your living and travel expenses and explain in details with proof on how you are going to pay for your second year.

Please how much is St. John Newfoundland’s tuition deposit

Tuition fee is not compulsory, you only need to pay acceptance fee about 250cad.

Don't worry, your application is in progress. Your medical may be updated follow by ppr at the same time. You can continue sending the email and the webform notifying them that your application has surpassed normal processing time.

Which portal are you using new or GCKey?

Hi @JMG12,
I'm a bit lost in the process of applying for a visit visa for a minor.
It appears the portal needs me to apply for a visa (for myself) + my baby. Making 2 visit visa applications, but I already have a study visa.

Can you advise, and can I send you an email?

Thanks

Vikkyexman:

There's no timeframe set for you to reapply. However, regarding this ongoing new rules, you might need attestation letter from the province you want to study before you can reapply unless you are a master or PhD student.

Kindly note that gcms notes takes about 30 days for you to receive it, but I strongly believe that improper documentation of your POF or SOP is the issue. In my case, I was rejected also for financial reason and I reapply after one week by writing another SOP tailored to address the refusal reason by telling the officer how I met the financial requirement. I also submitted additional documents (more sources of funds) to back up the claim. Although I later ordered the gcms note, and the concern of the officer was he didn't satisfy regarding the source of funds, limited evidence pertaining to the source of funds and how I accumulated my savings. With that, I had 80% confidence that I was going to be approved for my second application because of the additional documents submitted because I knew I have money and not because of insufficient funds why I was rejected.

Sometimes, since you don't know who will handle your application, it's recommended to write SOP of what a 5 year old boy will understand. Ensure you read and read over and over again. Ask for people's review and ask if they understand the SOP and if it's convincing enough. In addition, ensure you don't over compress your documents.

Order your GCMS notes as well.

Just to clarify, you mean I still apply using GCKey?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 12:50pm On Feb 16
Have you been approved and gotten your stamped passport? Using those changes comes when your study visa has been issued and counterfoil. So I don't think you should be worried about background checking. Keep sending webform they will respond just be calm.

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 1:05pm On Feb 16
Upon reviewing the reasons for refusal outlined in the GCMS note, It's clear that the Visa Officer has identified a specific deficiency in the financial documentation submitted with your application. In response to this feedback, addressing the concerns raised and providing additional evidence to support the funds required for your study in Canada is essential.
What to do
1. Review the requirements by making sure you understand the specific financial requirements for a study visa in Canada. This typically includes tuition fees, living expenses, and other costs.
2. Gather additional documentation by collecting all relevant financial documents, such as bank statements, proof of income, and any other evidence demonstrating your ability to cover the costs of your temporary stay in Canada.
3. Provide clear evidence to ensure that the financial documents you provide are clear, accurate, and easy to understand. Highlight any significant deposits or sources of income that may not have been evident in the initial submission.

Hope this helps!
