My people, I still need help on my 06 Sienna issues(P0012 and P2716). I need a good mechanic around Isolo/Okota axis.
I need this camshaft and gear solenoid issue sorted out.

The car moves sluggishly especially when AC is on. Difficult to climb small slope.

Please come to my aid my Ogas
Are you sure the compressor is not about to pack up? Did you work on your AC recently? If it happens only when you put on the AC then you have to visit an AC technician to look into that compressor.

Any repair history on the vehicle?

I don't have the repair history. Just a newly bought Nigerian used car.

Good day sir. I dropped my car at the panel beater's place for panel beating work and when i went to carry it,i found out that the brakes have suddenly become hard even when the engine is on,very hard and the brakes are no longer effective like before. And the engine doesn't steam well as it used to. I checked all the hoses and they are all connected to their various positions. When i press the brakes when engine is on i normally hear hissing sound from the leg room coming from the driver's side. Please any suggestions for me? It's a 2007 Nissan versa.
What work did the panel beater do on the car?
Your brake booster is likely bad.

Your car is most likely sluggish because of the shift solenoid code.
For the timing codes, you might need to confirm the timing is right and while at it check to see if your cam sprocket has been tampered with.

I parked the car there for over a month,i left the key with him. He changed my boot because someone bashed me from behind. But could that be the reason why my engine doesn't steam well while the car is parked? Or could it be a vacuum leak or so?

Don't forget that fuel prices are high and bolt refused to increase their prices as well,so i don't think it has to do with your car,it's the ridiculous bolt prices. That's just the culprit. How many litres do you use if you want to cover 20km journey? Fuel price rose from 185 to 620 per litre, that's more than three times the normal price,so it's not your car. Now imagine if fuel was 185 per litre, that means 25k fuel would have been 7k,leaving you with profit of 18k. So you see, your car is not the issue, the issue is high fuel price fighting low bolt prices. That's what i tell my guys,if you are truly serious about this bolt hustle, sell off your 1.8litre engine car and above, then settle for a car with engine of 1.1 to 1.5 litre max. It's not a must you use Toyota to do bolt hustle, they are other brands using three plugs that can fetch you alot of money,i know people who use Honda city and Hyundai i10 or even kia picanto. When you want to do transport business, the first thing you look at is fuel consumption of that vehicle, that's the most important aspect before other things. One Uber guy uses a car with three plugs engine and his fuel tank doesn't pass 21k to fill up and he uses it to make above 70k,is that not a good deal? The earlier people realize that Toyota is not everything the better for all of them. Chat me on WhatsApp let me give you more tips that you won't regret.

I hope you understood what you wrote out as your complains?
A bad valve stem seal would make the car emit smoke under the following conditions
1. When you start the car after parking it for a long time. Oil seeps into the combustion chamber from the bad seal and is burnt out.
2. When the car has idled for long and you attempt to drive off. You will see a puff of smoke which will disappear after a while and repeats itself when placed under similar condition.
3. When you attempt overtaking. Just like the example above, your engine will puff out smoke from the tail pipe.
What you complained was bluish smoke when you rev and hold the RPM. That is a telltale sign of a worn out piston rings, and possibly clearance within the cylinder wall.
So sir/ma, the bitter truth be say that your engine is likely on it's way out.
Regardless of what the issue is, you'll need to tear down into the engine to get it fixed.

By steam I believe you meant the car is not idling fine or misfires at idle.
If that's it, then I'd suggest you get the car scanned.

As suggested, get the car scanned.
Check if your brakes are binding.
Check for low tyre pressures.
Inspect and clean your air filter.
Check if you have a manual AC compressor.
Finally inspect the tip of your exhaust, it will tell if your car is burning just petrol, or oil as well to know the state of the engine.

Yes. It's not idling fine or it misfires when the car is not on motion. I thought i would get tips or info here because most people i have gone to meet were running away from Nissan, even to scan the car sef they no gree, they said they don't do Nissan. Why are people running from Nissan? Nigerians get wahala o. Below is a picture of the Nissan.

If you're in Lagos, call 07089030689 for a scan and possible fix.
But for the sake of those reading, so many things could have gone wrong from the accident to the 1 month it spent at the repair shop.
1. Vacuum leaks would disrupt the car's performance and cause a rough idle.
2. Evaporator leaks. This would be difficult to diagnose without a smoke machine and give similar faults as vacuum leaks.
3. Camshaft sensor faults. A faulty camshaft sensor will give similar condition you're experiencing and would also make the car go off or go into limp mode depending on how sever the fault is.
4. Poor ground connection. A bad ground would give off several electrical faults including poor idling.
5. Failing fuel pump or dirty fuel system.
And the list goes on and on.
Your best bet as advised is getting the car scanned and properly diagnosed.

Thanks Boss. You're a good man!
Yesterday I took it to an acclaimed rewire, he drained the gear oil, open the sump, used my battery either to be 'sparking' the solenoid or reactivating it till my battery died. After that, the code is still there, the worst is I noticed the sump was not well sealed this morning. My battery dead. Very annoying process. Roadside mechanic go kpai person for this country.
For the timing,I will take it today for checks

Good morning Everyone. So I was driving yesterday and then the check engine light came up.

I got home and picked my scanner to scan the car and had this error code.

I’m quite confused what the issue is or what the cause might be.

House please help

God bless you boss. My issue is that i drove the car personally to the panel beater's workshop, everything was working fine but when i went to carry it the car was rough idling and the brake booster issues came up. It's annoying,i will contact the number you sent to me. God bless you.

A competent engine mechanic at Ajao has corrected all the faults in the engine and the P0016 code is gone, remaining the P2716 and P0037.

I will try another gear guy!

Thank you bro

The compressor is creating unnecessary drag and load on the engine and that would translate to higher fuel consumption
Re: Tell Us Your Car Fault Lets Assess And Fix Them by jceesquare(m): 8:12am On Feb 17

How can one check if the compressor is manual?
The bolt holes would not match and would be misaligned to the mounting bracket.
There would be welded pipes to match the new compressor.
You'll also see non factory wiring around the compressor.
