Let me expound Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) is fully owned and controlled by the FG. TCN is responsible for electricity transmission and electricity trading amongst other tasks. Removal of subsidy will involve the unbundling of TCN (this is in the pipeline). Current rate of power to end users is cheap. The FG is subsidizing yet still owing GenCos. When subsidy is removed, GenCos will fix their rates (in line with NERC guidelines) and get to trade with (and get paid by) DisCos directly. This will improve revenue and profit... Same scenario is applicable to the downstream oil industry... Mpeace: 5 Likes |

emmaodet: I think Geregu is at 901. I said a minimum of 730 and a minimum of 9.3. Anyway, it tried. ARIMA is not my own model; it is a well-known model for time series forecasting. I am not that smart, lol. ARIMA is an Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average model, which, in simple words, uses complex mathematics to make predictions. My approach is to use ARIMA to scan the market with SciPy for profitable trades. Anyway, it is still profitable, yielding over 7% overall, even when many stocks have lost more than 7% in the past one week. 3 Likes 1 Share |

How I wish there is option trading in Nigerian stocks. I prefer it by far. Seems that the NSE is not developed enough to handle such risk. If it existed, all these guys fighting whether they need to borrow money or not won't be arguing. Even stock leveraging don't exist in most brokers or is there? 1 Like |

dapix: I think because of the foreign exchange crises consumer goods sectors will really take a hit. I think the banks are riding the devaluation well. Among the banks UBA seems to have performed very well trailing Zenith bank strongly. If this translation to robust dividend it may take time before you see UBA below N30. We are really watching. What is your take on this. |

Ballzproblem2: "Never invest borrowed money was an old aphorism" It holds no meaning in the current dispensation. Intelligent investors still borrow money for a good course. In January 2023, I took loans of NGN15 Million from 2 sources at N7.5M per source, cos I was sure of ๐ winning. I already sensed the current devaluation of Naira at the pick of ways and means, and started working on hedging against the current inflation , I changed same to USD, at average rate of NGN470.00, invested USD28k+ on selected etf and blueship stocks in NYSE/NASDAQ, To cut the story short, I already paid back the debt from my business cash flow, same investment as I'm typing dz is over USD36k. Mind to see the screenshot? If u understand the act of investing, u can predict the direction of where to invest your hard earn sweat and blood money ๐ฐ. Pessimists like it or not, the next big thing on NGX is Transcorp plc. The secret is "Utmost Patient " A pregnant woman would surely delivers at the right time. Transcorp is incubating. Few weeks back, some1 on this forum asked where to invest money ๐ฐ, I did not only advise 6the fellow to go Geregu and Dangote Cement coz they are destined for Km 1k. On the 8th Feb, got 3250 units of Geregu at average purchase price of N615.00. Less than a month, it is about to return 70%. For those that still believe in not borrowing money, you can borrow money for any business or investment if your cash flow is predictable. Another scenario I bought an established business with good clients based in November 2022 at the cost of NGN 18M borrowed funds, believe it or not, I did not only make the NGN18m in the first 6 months In cash flow I equally made more and still making bumper profit from the biz. The journey to become a billionaire is never a child play. You must dream it, visualise it, practice it, believe it, achieve it and preserve it by all means. Money has no religion, race and tribe. However, if you are not self employed, you are still far from financial independence. My Target is NGN1B NGX, $1M USD NYSE by 2028. Very achievable. Plan for 2mao Plan 4 old age Prepare for the unexpected(inevitable and the evitable, Insure your life business and immediate family. Invest as if every passing day is the last, and build a portfolio that can stand the test of time. A strong self philosophy is important. Me I no Sabi trade, I Sabi hold coz I believe say the corporate governance in NGX has improved, nevertheless, we may still see few individuals that are born โซ๏ธ black sheep ๐ in the corporate aspect of the Market(Fraudulent delisting) Glaxo and Jubril Tinubu, but it may never be as terrible as it used 2 be in the days of Oceanic bank, intercontinental, Costain West Africa etc. To cap it all, I'm debt free. My Business and Mr Market (NGX and NASDAQ) are doing well. Inflation and I are investment enemy No1. I anticipate inflation,I dread it and I hedge against it. NB...... The screenshot is not 2 brag about the portfolio, we may never meet, same way I had never met Agba and Pa Emma, n the host of other participants in this forum. just to encourage and motivate you that borrow fund can return profit if you are an intelligent, lucky and a steadfast self investors. We all need the luck in life regardless of individual investment philosophy or strategy. Borrow money at the right time for the right course. ****Lucky me**** Change your orientation, it could be u 2mao. ๐ lol. 23 Likes 2 Shares |

Mankind2024:You are correct, after pa Emma and other participants discussed it in 2022. I went to think over it again and again. I don't believe in borrowing but it changed after digesting a post from a professor (my financial icon). I ran and started looking for 10m in August 2023, well all banks I met gvr exibortant conditions. I had wanted to averaged my Royal exchange to 0.40k, but cutix @2.00, Firsbank @ 17 and jaiz @<1.20 with some other US stocks. But could not secure the fund. I missed but learnt. 2 Likes |

machine606:Sorry to learn about your missed opportunity. Nature will surely present another at d right time. For entrepreneurs with good cash flow, verifiable business and address, the banks run after you on daily basis. Your overdraft access is enough to make an emergency investment. Well, fingers are never equal. My Business cash balance allow Zenith to grant me N15M without stepping ๐ถโโ๏ธ into the banking hall. Just a click. When subsidy is removed, estimated billing will be abolished. For now it has been capped at a reasonable level. There's a news of several DisCos who were given hefty fines for 'overcharging customers with estimated bills' I'm not saying it will be a perfect landing but it'll definitely be better than the current state...
