Trippledots: Please I need an inverter without solar for now that I can charge with Nepa light/Gen to power 32inches of led TV and maybe fan |
Re: Solar Power For An Average Middle Class Household by Trippledots(m): 2:59pm On Feb 29 |
xtaneche: If You want to diy, a 1000w sachet inverter, 100ah or 200ah battery, 12v battery charger should do the job. If you want me to procure and install, come Whatsapp. |

Bosses in the house, please I have an issue. I connected my 105w freezer to my 1050v inverter, and I got a message saying "short circuit, please check wiring". Please, what could be the cause of this? Other appliances like my TV, laptop, lights work normal. The message only shows when I plug the freezer, and then the inverter would go off. If it were an overload issue, it would have shown the overload warning message. This is where I'm getting confused. Thanks for all your contributions in advance. |

Obnoxious2001: Good day sir happy Sunday..can I use my bed size fridge with a sachet 1500 watts inverter.it will be only in the afternoon when the sun is out ...or my 8kg washing machine.. Lastly can you help with the things I needed for a 180 litters inverter freezer.,I will love to set an inverter for only the freezer that will be able to work minimum of 17 hours per day |
Re: Solar Power For An Average Middle Class Household by Obnoxious2001(m): 3:09am On Mar 05 |
Nteogwuija:Probably there is a short circuit in the fridge. Does the fridge works well on nepa? If it works well, then know that the inverter can't withstand the starting surge of the fridge |
Re: Solar Power For An Average Middle Class Household by Obnoxious2001(m): 3:11am On Mar 05 |
Tover:That's inverter is not advisable to be used for a fridge.. However since you want to try it on it, I don't think it will successfully power the fridge. |

How much should i budget for conncetion that will power a laptop, two rechargeable fans, phones and minor accessories. |
Re: Solar Power For An Average Middle Class Household by Obnoxious2001(m): 10:06am On Mar 05 |
samistry:A budget of ₦300-350 should get you something tangible. Your best is to get solar generator. You have the luxury of moving it around easily. If you want something stationery then regular battery is your guy. |
Re: Solar Power For An Average Middle Class Household by Nteogwuija(m): 5:11pm On Mar 05 |
Obnoxious2001: Yea, it works well on NEPA. I even tried a smaller fridge of 55w on it, it still gives same short circuit warning. It's quite surprising how it powers the washing machine of 360w but can't power a table top fridge of 55w. |

Please does charging phone with charge controller affect the phone? Does it spoil phone? Any input or experience. I'll just use the USB port and put cord. The image attached is the type of charge controller. Thanks

Obnoxious2001: Are you trying to say a 3kva (3000 watts) sachet inverter will power my fridge in the afternoon without any problems 3000 watts sachet inverter vs 1.5kva pure sine wave inverter which one is more better for my 3 bed room apartment |
Re: Solar Power For An Average Middle Class Household by Obnoxious2001(m): 12:26pm On Mar 07 |
