It depends on city or highway driving.

Corolla 2003-2008 can do 150km with the 15ltrs. Can do more kilometers on highway with same fuel

Your fuel consumption is very high abeg. I use a 2003 2.4L Camry and I get 80miles with 10k of 685/L

3things could be the reason here;

1 The station u bought fuel from might have tampered with their metre

2: U might have run on AC all through the journey

3: Your style of driving ( maybe aggressive or high speed driving)

However, 69miles for 14.8-15L of fuel is very economical if i may say

Don't be tempted to go and spoil your car, your fuel economy is normal, if its an highway driving it would be better than that.

Removed 02 sensor to test it and it was ok.

its not a matter of changing the plug. Merely looking at the plug a good mechanic will know if they are firing well or not. If they are not firing well, how many of them are not firing well? Then next is why?

If they are firing well then you need to check the type oil you are using. 20w50 will or old oil will consume more fuel very much than 5w30 and new oil

1. Visit #2 to the dealer. This time they put the shop foreman on the job (very experienced guy they said ). The problem was a ground wire attached to the intake manifold. Problem fixed, no CEL light for a week. No additional charge from the dealer.

3. You could use an original fuel cleaner to improve the situation. Buy the one in metallic container

you have to be patient while going through these steps one after the other


again, check if your exhaust in leaking. Catalyst has been removed
