Children of nowadays, if only you know how Obasanjo farms came to be. Have you ever heard of Operation feed the nation project of the 70s? That's what is know as Obasanjo farms today. How many of the farms are working except the one in OTA where he resides. Applaud people when they try to help out in alleviating poverty. Ance4Liverpool: 1 Like |

Food subsidy. The set up will be a good avenue for looting of the treasury. |

A state governor will bring up a dumb idea, the indigens and party supporters will applaud it as the best thing but curse and abuse another dumb idea a governor from another state, region or party. Akwa Ibom state is the centre for world's keke and mini bus drivers. No jobs even with the audio factories I've been reading online. I expected the governor to create jobs by opening factories, empower artisans, attract investors so there can be job opportunities. This "Happy Hour" governor wants to keep giving the people fish as against teaching/showing them how to fish. NIGERIANS ARE NOT LAZY. THE LEADERS ARE. 1 Like 1 Share |

Ance4Liverpool: It’s not stupid in totality. But our leaders have no foresight. If they do, doing what you suggested should be a long term cushion for the country. Obj later converted the farm to his anyway. But on a good stand, it should be replicated in form of Babangida’s style. Make farm settlements-babangida called it agric settlements, all over Nigeria. Every local government should have it. Create moderate facilities for them, build shelters, give them light, provide moderate facilities like sport centers , train and equip them on security measures, provide machineries as ag when needed and provide farm inputs. Make available trainers and supervisors and watch our country become farm produce importer in 2 to 5 years. . But as usual, no govt will do it. They are busy looting over 2 kms road constructions and building of ring roads. 1 Like |

Ance4Liverpool: If u don't understand things ask questions. How is it a stupid idea, the way some of u talk makes one wonder if u even think at all. That is one of the best way govt can support both farmers and the citizen. One of the problem of farmers is a ready market, most Agric produce get spoil easily n no storage system in place or too expensive to do. Reason the middlemen used to milk them, an average Famer want a place he can sell all his produce not take loans n suffer to plant n still suffer to sell it. If a farmer have a guarantee buyer he can go any length to acquire loan n boost his production. On the other hand the govt have the capacity to buy and store. If they buy all, they can decide to either subsidize for the indigene or ensure a regulated price as storage won't be a problem. So there would be food in all time of the year. |

Ance4Liverpool: He has his own farming policy. If you want to farm in Akwa ibom now, free machines. Just fuel it. Subsized farm lease. How many is Obasanjo farm feeding Ogun state. Ogun has more farms than Obasanjo but the state still lack cheap food. |

Monetize Your Expertise with Online Courses Harness the power of your knowledge by creating and selling online courses. Whether it's academic subjects, specialized skills, or practical life lessons, there's always someone eager to learn from you. Platforms like Udemy, Coursera, or even your own website can serve as launchpads for your educational offerings. 2. Venture into E-Commerce The digital realm offers boundless opportunities for enterprising students. Launching an online business allows you to capitalize on your creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. From selling handmade crafts to dropshipping popular products, the possibilities are endless. Platforms like Shopify, Etsy, or Amazon provide accessible avenues to kickstart your e-commerce journey. 3. Tap into Real Estate Real estate isn't just for seasoned professionals; students can also carve out a lucrative niche in this industry. By networking with local real estate agents and brokers, you can explore opportunities for referral commissions. Whether it's connecting potential buyers with properties or facilitating rental agreements, each successful transaction can translate into substantial earnings. 4. Seize Telecommunication Opportunities The telecommunications sector offers a wealth of potential for savvy students. Consider venturing into reselling business, where you can profit from selling airtime or partnering with telecom companies to facilitate SIM card registrations. These ventures can be particularly rewarding, as witnessed during the COVID-19 pandemic when connectivity became more essential than ever. 5. Embrace Part-Time Employment For students adept at balancing academics and work commitments, part-time jobs offer a reliable avenue for supplemental income.
