Tianamen1:your argument is sound but the issue on ground is more than raising minimum wage because those that will benefit mostly from this are civil servants. Lets even assume the government wants to do that, to how much would the minimum wage be raised to that will cushion the effect of this biting inflation? Will chukwudi working as a salesboy benefit from the increase in minimum wage? Will bola working as a POS girl benefit? Will Hauwa hawking kunu benefit? The monster facing us is inflation, one of the Macro-economic indices and to tackle this , first thing the government has to do is tackle insecurity. I agree with your point on cutting down the cost of governance. If the president could tell all Nigerians to endure, i see no reason why he and his cohorts should not. They should even forgo their salaries and allowances for sometime, afterall, they have enough already but i doubt if they would be able to do that. They prefer to die without spending the money than letting it go round. WICKEDNESS, GREEDINESS, CALLOUSNESS. IN ADDITION!!! The printing of more money is having devastating effect on Nigerian Economy because MS>MD. 3 Likes 1 Share |

nairalanda1:Where they using ways and means? Buhari is the most useless president in the history of Nigeria. It is madness for Nigerians to vote APC as a party after such disastrous failing for8 years. Rice went from 8000 to about 50k under Buhari and yet ppl voted for someone that promises to continue the legacy of Buhari.....lol. Useless citizens deserve useless leaders. |

loswhite: No, but at the end, they used it well under buhari. That's why some of us wanted subsidy to go totally See, we were so broke because of low oil prices from 2014 that at the end Buhari was using scam methods to pay for subsides. Instead of facing the truth 2 Likes |

nairalanda1:What truth? Someone have zero policy direction on how to rule a country and you are doing everything to defend him. Now subsidy was removed and naira was floated right? Are we not back to paying the same subsidy? Are you not aware? We are now buying fuel almost 700 naira but somehow we are still paying subsidy. We ware buying dollars 1700 yet the forex is still not unified. How do you defend such policies? We had low oil prices when obasanjo became president. You can Google and check so you don't believe all the lies of Buhari and his foolish team. |
