Hello House
I have a 2008 Hyundai Tucson.
On Sunday I notice a squeeking sound from the back of the car while driving.
I took it to a workshop and they said the axil and propeller are bad.
The technician said the oil in the axil is dried up so the metal is grind and chipped.
Please can anyone recommend a good place to get a second opinion.
Somewhere around Gbagada axis.
Thank you

Squeaky noise is different from a grinding noise. If it's squeaking, then you have 1 or several bad rubber bushings. But if it's grinding while driving, then your mechanic is right.
Kindly confirm if your rear tyres are slanted outward.

Yes the rear tyres kind of look slanted outwards slightly.

When you do get the gear, I have the genuine ATF in stock, so the new gear doesn't get decommissioned anytime soon.

Well the engine is far better than the 2011 to 2014 sonata. If its fitted with the 1.6T or 2.0T engine I did say buy the accord but if nah the non turbo engines buy but ensure to be ontop of your maintenance game

Hello house.

I want to buy Hyundai Elentra 2007 Auto (Nigerian used) for personal and part time uber business.

Are the parts cheap when compared to say Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla of same year? How much is the tokumbo engine?

I will really appreciate your inputs please.

Hello gurus in the house.

Please what are the pros and cons of buying a Nigerian used Hyundai Tuscon 2009 0r 2010 (2.0L or 2.4L engine)model? Does it have any known issue with Engine or Transmission? I have never used a Korea car

Hello guys,

Please I noticed my 2009 sonata fuel consumption is very high. Please what can I do?

Secondly, the gear 1 and 2 is biting/jerking, took it to one gearbox specialist here, after accessing it, he said it is not gear box rather it is brain box issue. I took the car for scanning, it couldn't detect it, the only thing the scanning machine detected is a defect sensor beside the engine.

Please guys, what do you suggest I do?

Kindly take the car to someone whose scan tool can access the transmission and post codes for remote diagnosis.
If you're in the habit of taking out the battery terminals, you might want to drive the car round for some miles for the control unit to register a fault code then rescan.
For further assistance if within Lagos, kindly call 07089030689

Are there any cons for taking out battery terminals after parking a car? Aside the normal resetting of the car's electronic systems

This in itself would make diagnosis difficult.

Please guys I recently bought an Hyundai Elantra 2013 towards last year and itā€™s been giving me lots of problems. Sometimes the car turns off while Iā€™m in motion and sometimes the car jerks. I have tried fixing the issues with some mechanic but it seems like itā€™s not getting better. Very recently after a mechanic helped me with the jerking problem, I noticed my fuel gauge doesnā€™t work well anymore. No matter the amount of fuel I buy, it just keeps showing that itā€™s on ā€œreserveā€ and doesnā€™t move more than one bar. Please I need a trusted recommendation for a good Hyundai mechanic. The whole thing is frustrating me at this point. Kindly help drop contact details of any good Hyundai mechanic you know and have worked with before.

Thank you in advance for your helpšŸ˜¢

Good morning,

Please I want to purchase a naija used Hyundai Accent 2013, what do I need to check out for. Thank you for the responses.

I Just purchased Naija Used Hyundai Accent 2013. But on inserting my scanner the VIN number it displays is different with the label VIN pasted on the car body. My mechanic told me the Catalyst is intact, shock absorber, break disk and some other stuffs are follow come... but the car suffered severe abused from its previous owner. No maintenance at all. Trying to fix the car . The fuel economy of the car is far better than Toyota Corolla, am really impressed

Check for all the VIN labels on the car to see if they are the same.

The ECU might have been replaced without overwriting the new VIN with the car VIN.

You might run into issues with the Police if the car you bought was stolen or has some kind of stories behind it due to the tampered VIN.
I've read cases where Police used scanner to compare VIN on the body and the ECU.
You might need to do an affidavit to drive the car with peace of mind.
The Accent should be compared with a Yaris and not Corolla.
