I haven't seen that guy give any movie above 6/10

It's either he watches mediocrity everyday or who knows

grin grin grin grin bro, how can you compare the CGI of a 2010 version to a 2023 remake with a better budget, that's not a legit comparison in any way

it was still a massive improvement no? And again there are only two live adaptations of the avatar so comparison isn't out of place. And it's not like I did a detailed nitpicking comparison, I gave a clear reason as to why I felt they did better in terms of CGI. As I lost faith in anybody portraying bending in live action but they did it well. It's that simple nothing deep about it.

But I feel we are digressing I want us to go back to your point of why we shouldn't compare movies of the same source materials because they weren't made by the same people grin grin grin

The amount of lies and cope to excuse this in the comments were crazy.

The dude didn't express himself well but his point is that at least in the cartoon, the Waterbenders had enough advantage and power the easily capsize most of the fire nation ships

Someone said it was a surprise attack. Surprise ke?
Another said the waterbenders were weak lmao.
No be the same cartoon we watch?

The waterbenders were certainly capable in the cartoon plus they had a full moon with their powers at Max level...they just didn't consider it. In the cartoon, the waterbenders were stronger than what the movie showed.

We saw what singular waterbenders can do in the cartoon. And these guys had some master benders...even though they also had some Amateurs they were strong enough to hold that stronghold for many years.

It's fiction, it needs to be entertaining, it's a plot convenience. People just need to accept these things and move on. Not spreading lies to cover up. A group of 50 waterbenders would have done insane damage to the fire nation fleet. What made them hard to attack was because they were surrounded by water.

But even at that, nothing would have prevented the events tbh...they'd have just taken out more ships...
Their moon spirit would still be killed anyway

Laughing.. if they do that, how will the plot continue? Lol...it's movie...don't take it too serious

Yep. I believe that the gal will later work with master chief to conquer the convenant

The doc should have died. I don't know why they're still keeping her alive. Perhaps she's too valuable to be killed

BTW. Bar that gutter quality last season, GOT was really that "SHOW"! fr. In all ramifications, i haven't seen show quite like it, and the fact that studios be out here, really trying to replicate just it since, just to have thier own "GOT" speaks massive decibels 馃槱

@ bolded, Season 7 was also trash...

But GOT's quality and reputation was legendary. It's literally one of the biggest if not the biggest show ever.

Everyone was watching Game of Thrones. The only show that in my class in University that year everyone was watching at once in class...it was crazy...

If new episode dropped...just go to class...you'll see many people who have the episode already dey watch and discuss

You probably saw a different S7 or maybe you've forgotten about it because it was like the best penultimate season in Tv history, set up things beautifully for the final season. So many lose ends were tied and to crown it, The Night King riding a "blue eyed, Zombified" Viserion, and using it to break than "The Wall", and the season immediately ending, might the greatest cliff hanger ever.

The least rated episode of the season was 8.5/10 on IMDB. S7 was anything but trash!.

S7 was goated in my opinion, it had the best fight sequence of the entire show that I still go back to watch every year - the one where Daenerys ambushes the Lannister army with her dragons with the famous line "We can hold them off" muahh!! Chef's kiss!!
People forget it's the season where we get to see Arya killing all the Freys, little finger dying, Jon Snow and his people at the middle of a legion of dead people and still surviving. The reason most people don't just like it's Ed Sheeran cameo and the plot holes at the end

Also, if you want to convince someone to watch Game of Thrones, just show them that S7 ambush scene, it has worked for me every single time!

Biggest problem was naming Aang Ong馃槀 with the most hilarious reason. Can't believe Shyamalan is still giving money to make movies after the dog fart of a movie. I recently rewatched it thinking maybe there's a slight payoff- biggest mistake of the year

Like! The only blemish was when Jon Snow and the others went beyond the wall to get a Wight to prove the existence of White Walkers, like the writing of that whole sequence was so bad that it was the first inkling i had, they were gonna mess up the ending of the show. Hiring decent writers would have helped but i can't blame them too much, as at that time they had gone way past the books and were just winging it without G.R.R.M dope source material to call upon.

Anyway, it was a might fine season still!

Season 7 of Game of Thrones did not age well at all...

It is openly mocked everyday...

Season 7 featured one of the most st没pid decisions and mission in the entire show:

Where a smart character like Tyrion thought it was wise for them to go on "a mission deep beyond the wall to capture a nightwalker alive to take to king's landing to convince Cersei to join forces with them"

Tell me that is not the d没mbest thing you've heard today...

A character as smart as Tyrion suggesting such a plan is nothing short of character assassination.

The plan was so d没mb that it's highly regarded as one of the d没mbest decisions of any character in the entire GOT. Tyrion should know how useless and pointless such a plan was.

Apart from it making absolutely no sense, there was no way the Cersei he knew would aid them because of that...
He knew Cersei and he should have known she wouldn't give a sh卯it even if the entire North was wiped out...

The entire d没mb plan was only written to hand the Night King a dragon on a platter.

Lol...I decided to check online to see what the producers thought.

Here is an excerpt I saw online:

"As Weiss says in the book Fire Cannot Kill a Dragon: Game of Thrones and the Official Untold Story of the Epic Series:

"We were talking about breaching the Wall and trying to figure out what pieces we already had on the board without introducing new deux ex machina pieces. What was in the world already that could conceivably knock down the Wall? Just getting the Night King past the Wall didn't do it; just getting the White Walkers past didn't do it. You needed to get an army of a hundred thousand dead men past the Wall, which means a giant hole. We were racking our brains as to what could do that. Then we realized there would be something massive in the show - they weren't massive at the time we thought of this - and that was the dragons. But getting a dragon north of the Wall was tricky."

grin grin grin
Even the writers probably realized how d没mb the plan they wrote was

How will you go into a live action adaptation with so much expectations. I believe that's where your problem comes from.

If you had gone into it not expecting much you would have left with a feeling of they tried but still alot more improvements to be made.

To be fair alot of the storyline were rushed, if not all, I think the only one which they tried to really fleshed out a bit was Zukko's storyline and maybe Aang.

But that's to be expected in a live action especially one where the initial showrunner weren't part of it. Going into it expecting alot is just setting yourself up for disappointment. They will hardly ever capture the same charm of the animation that's just the truth.

Also the numbers of episodes were too small. If you haven't watched the animated version you won't buy any of the emotional attachment in this series well except again Zukko and Iroh.

I went into it not expecting anything, and it was ok. The visuals were a massive improvement from the movie. I thought it would be impossible to ever portray bending in live action but they did it well. There's alot of room for improvements that's for sure but I am looking forward to where they take it in season 2.

Very true. The only thing they did well was Zuko and Iroh storylines. Every other storyline was just rushed. The acting was generally inconsistent, dialogue was a pain and most of the cast lack chemistry.
