Looking back at all these Remedies matter sef ; one must agree that there used to be respect in Nigeria o.

I mean today Tetuila is 51 years old , I think Eedris will be 51 as well and I'm not sure of Eddy's age. Yet the great baba Keke that signed them back then is 57 years old shocked

The kind respect and loyalty these guys showed one would've thought Keke senior them with ata least 10 to 15 years .

Eddy had the talent but after leaving Kennis, apart from the emotional damage he suffered he had no support base around him.

He was a bit older than those other upcoming guys and didn't link up with the right people. Back then Festac/Satellite/AJ axis and Yaba/Bariga axis were like the way Paris and Sao Paolo are in football. Talents were springing up every day and gathering together in studios, whether it be beats, lyrics, hooks etc. That was what Tetuila connected to but Eddy i believe either from blacklisting and/or generational gap could not.

I agree with u. He fell off and didn't link up when it mattered most .

Tony! I'm trying to remember the title of the song he did where Princess was a Mama Put owner and had video vixens in yellow t-shirts and blue trousers dancing in a line. He wasn't touching any of them. I don't know if you can remember the title.

That music video caused trouble. Turns out my class teacher's first daughter was the lead video vixen in the music video and she got suspended from church for it. It was forbidden to wear trousers then in our church. Crazy times. cheesy

Come to think of it that there was a time Christian ladies were forbidden to wear trousers not only in church but even in public . Now the children of those people who did the forbidding are the ones who run churches where women wear trousers in church , guys pierce their ears and weave their hairs and some men even go to same church with pierced nose cheesy

Times have changed truly

It tells you that most of these rules are man-made rules that people pick out either from water-filled calabashes or from inside the deepest recesses of their backsides.

Farmers are protesting in most EU countries. This news is for those of you calling for boarders to be open and lifting or not lifting of ban.

Think about our local farmers too when you are calling for all of these things.

Societies/ humans have always evolved from social constructs and in this instance, the definition of morality. Social constructs have to be institutionalized for it to be successful during a period of time and religion is one medium of institutionalizing social constructs.

As our world changes and humans continue to explore new levels of advanced intelligence, our idea of many social constructs like morality will also evolve.

Going from excommunicating women from church (and subjecting them to ridicule and shame) in 1995 because they are wearing trousers because God told you it is sinful, to you (or your wife) now wearing trousers yourself in 2015 takes a whole lot of social construction.

Religion is one medium of institutionalizing oppressive dogma as well.

One of my private lesson teachers was a Deeper Life member. The guy was young and so even though he was a loyal member he used to question some of those rules in his mind. It was in our house that he could voice those doubts because his 2 elder brothers (who got him into the church) used to oppress the hell out of him whenever he strayed away from the straight and narrow official church doctrine.

Winners and Christ Embassy were already putting on trousers as far back as I can remember, but that particular church wasn't having any of it. Knee-length skirts too were enforced.

Hairs must be covered for women, no weavons or wigs, but braids with 'attachments' for hair extensions could be overlooked. No dyed hair, of course. Piercings on men were a no-no, dreads were forbidden, and women had just the one-piercing-per-ear-lobe kind.

I think that religious indoctrination sort of grew with most of us, no matter how irreligious or liberal we claim to be now. I still haven't been able to rationalize multiple piercings, tattoos, nose rings, and extravagantly dyed hair and unconventional hairstyles.

Funny how the same church which suspended the girl then for putting on trousers which didn't even objectify her now condones choir members attending choir practice in trousers and with wigs on.

The bold is what I'm saying! RCCG for example was more of an advanced CAC, Assembiles of God or The Apostolic Church when Adeboye took over as G.O. I believe wearing trousers and dressing flamboyant as a lady was seen as being immoral those days till the early 2000's in RCCG.

Today if u walk into a Mega RCCG parish u will see guys on piercing of both ears, girls with jaw dropping dresses, fully fitted trousers and body revealing gowns. The ushers will even tell u at the entrance " U look beautiful in God's image" as a way of welcoming u. Things have really changed and the more conservative approach to religion has gone liberal.

Christ embassy na new generation church that came with the vibes. Winners on the other hand was an Oyedepo coming from a Muslim background who needed to accommodate the new generation that felt left behind by their parents' conservative brand of Christianity for his young ministry to grow.

Like u stated in ur third paragraph, some of those religious indoctrination has a telling on what we judge to be morally right or wrong growing up and even in this present day. For example, I don't have anywhere in my heart that sees homosexuality as normal human behavior.

"Last week, the Nigerian Customs was selling seized rice and seven people died in Lagos. How did we get to that level? The APC government then, led by former President Muhammadu Buhari told us there is abundance of rice production in Abuja,โ€ Ologunagba said.

โ€œThe pyramid of rice turns out to be pyramid of lies. They claimed then that food production was surplus because of the intervention of the Anchor Borrowers Scheme from the CBN, which again was laden with corruption.

โ€œIf indeed there was abundance of food production as a result of that intervention, why is there hunger in the land?".

"Where is the pyramid of rice today? The APC owe Nigerians explanation on this at this crucial period. Billions of naira were expended on the Anchor Borrowers programme but where is the food?โ€.

You don't know what you are saying.

LOL. Blackface was not even Soundcity-worthy, not to mention MTV Base and Channel O which Faze was a regular on post-split.

Blackface's music videos were always those Ajegunle-themed ones, with towels and rough-looking guys of the Galala and Suo set. Not different from Marvelous Benji.
African China hit too but he was still an Ajegunle, Ghetto brand artsite.

Faze was on a higher level. Had almost the class and finesse to his songs and music videos like 2Face. Go watch their music videos from that era to compare and contrast.

Comparing post-split BlackFace to Faze is disrespect.

So budget is benchmarked against oil at $77 per barrel.
But story is unlike other nations that their unit cost per barrel is <$30 (which is worst case scenario), Nigeria's own is $48.71

So we are left with 77-48.71=$28.29.

$28 is where we are expected to get fx, pay debt, pay what needs to be paid to whoever and to make it worse, we have low production.

Understand that this $48.71 is best case scenario as it seems some guys are doing $55.
And I can bet my left ball that they are mostly indigenous companies ๐Ÿ˜
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by liveLongNprospa(m): 8:26am On Feb 27

This is not even the loan again.
I'm talking about the production cost per barrel is unreasonably high.

Take the iPhone for example.
Why apple makes so much money is the difference between production cost and price of product.

Nigeria own na the opposite.
Over the years, the O&G industry around the world has introduced technology to crash that production cost to below $25 so it's as efficient as possible.
Nigeria apparently is doing between 48-55 dollars currently. And we now have alot of obligations while still having low production numbers๐Ÿ˜‚
