I mainly do HODLing, however I feel I am losing out on spot trading. Please advise. Luno fees is too high but i still likes it Its auto DCA & Luno bundle Index na topnotch |

Oga! This last mention shows that you are a novice and ignoramus in cryptocurrency.
There are about 100 or more different USDT coins that work with different blockchains.
USD coins are called stable coins
There is USDT (Tether), BUSDT (Binance protocol),True USD (TUSD), USD coins, TrueUSD, DAI etc.
The major and most used USDT is Tether that works on the Ethereum Blockchain which was the first and most popular.
The one Cardify is using is USD TRC20 which makes use of the Tron Blockchain and it only works with Tron-based wallets. How many people have Tron wallets?
Now when I saw your post and asked that first question, I didn't wait for an answer and quickly ran to open an account with them...WHY? Cos I have about $18 which I kept in USDT which is on my CEXIO account that I can't pull out to my VISA card cos the minimum withdrawal amount is $20 so I figured that I could just transfer it to the Cadify wallet , it would be better so I can withdraw it from Cardify itself only for me to see that the USD wallet Cardify offers is TRC20.
CEXIO doesn't have the TRC20...i said fine...maybe I would just transfer to my Binance only to see that Binance too doesn't have the TRC20 option.
I quickly did a quick search on wallets that supports TRC20 and found that Trust wallet was listed as you can see in the picture below and I have a Trust Wallet account...I ran to trust wallet only to see that TRC20 has been delisted from Trust Wallet.
Now why I said that they are useless is that why can't they be innovative and add the Tether USD protocol which is the most popular and widely used to their list instead of only that so-called TRC20?
Not to talk of that annoying chat widget that always pops out on the dashboard.
Below is the screenshot of the account I opened that yesterday.

Looks like BîtForex has ran with my money. They have partially shut down after their CEO resigned some weeks ago. That's one of the prices we pay for having small money in every exchange. The benefit outweighs the risk though. Jeez! So Bitforex is gone? |
Re: Crypto Currency Investors Thread by twosquare(m): 12:21pm On Feb 27 |
sweetveek: is spot trading not same as hodling? The spot trading he is talking about is flipping account...instead of trading the futures way, you trade the spot way... As for hodling, can take 1 year to achieve target. |
Re: Crypto Currency Investors Thread by twosquare(m): 12:27pm On Feb 27 |
Cc. Crvrider twosquare: How To Manouever the Bull Market.
It depends on your taste and skills. Know your strength. Like Graceglory, said, he is a holder.
1) Holders make the most money. They have already gotten their bags before others start FOMOing. Have an account for holding promising projects for the bull run...not to be touched, and set your limit sell order/targets. Some exchanges allow this, except Bi.nance, I think.
2) If you know how to trade (it may be from taking reliable calls), have another account to trade spot calls. Solely spots.
3) The last is another account to carefully trade futures. Profits from this can be rolled into more projects on spots for holding for the bull run.
The above is based on your skills. 1 is compulsory. The other two are optional. Number 3 is not advisable if you don't have certain experience/mastery.
So, have separate accounts for all these.

sweetveek: is spot trading not same as hodling? HODLing[Hold On for Dear Life] is when you buy and hold for a period(usually a long time) for it to appreciate before selling to make profit. While spot, albeit with similar ideology of buying cheap and selling high is done with the intent of profiting from short-term price volatility. Here you don't have to wait for long periods. You take whatever small profits and you repeat for as many times as possible. I hope I am correct, though. 3 Likes |

@twosquare this is knowledge you just wrote down, I really appreciate. I didn't know exchanges would allow you do option (1) because I see myself as a HODLer. Right now I am trying to lick my wound because I didn't take advantage of buying enough crypto in 2018 when I had the chance and money. If I had invested this amount of capital 500k * 89,200,000 / 2,300,000 in 2018 my investment would have been worth over 19 million naira today. I have this thread on speed dial now and I want to appreciate everyone here that have made themselves useful. 1 Like |

It's about two greedy parties trying to outplay each other. If they keep pumping it, the dump will be devastating. So, we want a healthy move, not two greedy parties fighting over money.
