Yankee101: Why are you failing to answer the questions raised? Is the Somalia situation not triggered by a dictator-Siad Barre just as Obasanjo, Buhari and other soldiers since Nzeogwu’s coup are responsible for making us into Pakistan instead of India Incidentally Siad Barre died in 1995 in our country, where he was hiding, after his overthrow 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Maybe you don’t know Babangida completed the 3rd mainland bridge Obasanjo built the National theatre and festac town from scratch Maybe you don’t know the military initiated Abuja as FCT and built it and moved from Lagos to Abuja Maybe you don’t know of the several new federal roads created by the PTDF under Abacha run by same buhari Maybe you don’t know that the current constitution that you’re using was created by the military guys Maybe you don’t know most of your power generation capacity and dams were created by the military Maybe you don’t know your first major universities were created by the military The military gave the licenses for the first state/private universities, they built some of the best teaching hospitals, created most of the states you’re claiming as your state of origin Based on performance the military has outperformed most civilian administrations. Even those civilian ones that did well comparatively, like Obasanjo, as a civilian was run by a former military ruler The cost of governance is cheaper instead of thousands of legislators stealing and executive stealing and middle brokers stealing You want to hear more of what you probably don’t know? seguno2: 1 Like 1 Share |

2mch: Show me one time that any Trump kid embarked on a foreign travel with state funds and I will give u a million bucks. Only Ivanka and Jared (son in law), ever traveled with the ex POTUS because they were govt appointees. Your trash about Hunter Biden remains what it is, absolute trash. Hunter denies any wrongdoing and is even being prosecuted in court by his Fathers DOJ America isn't perfect but don't compare them with this shithole country 2 Likes 1 Share |

This is trash! Is he the first lady? That grown-up adult can foot his bills and still go there any day and anytime. He should stop humiliating his father's administration and stop behaving like a spoilt kids whose been overpampered. Was he elected to public office or is he a cabinet minister? All these monarchs we put in power is taking us for fools. Tomorrow he will tell Nigerians to endure hardship whereas he's enjoying State resources at his beck and call. This defense holds no water. This madness will spill over soon on the streets someday. Just continue taking us for granted. 1 Like |

So you can copy such from the world leaders but cannot copy their good governance. I can give you tons of presidents that never go about with their family e g. British PM, Russian president, French president and so many more. You can only copy the profligacies of the American government forgetting that they are the financial world power and are in control of their debts but you (Nigeria) are not. Why can't you copy the prudence of others rather than the American profligacies 1 Like |

Yankee101: What first major universities were created by the military? Is it the one in Ibadan, or the one in Ife, Nsukka, Zaria or Lagos? Must you tell lies to justify your indefensible claims? Why do you limit government to new physical infrastructure and forget about services, utilities, amenities and infrastructure MAINTENANCE as well as sustainable economic growth? Gowon was military dictator when Qatar and UAE got independence and he failed just like his coupist successors until 1999 to get it right on economic policy. Meanwhile are you a hypocrite for being in liberal democracy Yankee but advocating for military dictatorship in our country 1 Like 2 Shares |

G00dharddick: Nigeria is not sane society. America is working, is Nigeria working? Your president and his son will be spending money recklessly while their people facing hardship for the past few weeks now power supply is now a rocket science. No light, no fuel, no salary increment. In fact everything is "No" . Be truthfully to yourself: tell me what is working fine in this country? 1 Like 1 Share |

If Seyi and Yinka want to go to Qatar, they should fund the trip privately. The Tinubu family is rich enough to finance such trips. Funding such trip with public fund at a time Nigerians are being told to endure is unacceptable. 4 Likes 1 Share |

2mch: It is usually convenient to defend misconduct by citing seemingly similar behaviours by first world leaders without remembering that we poor, dependant, third worlds bedevilled by corruption and bad government are not in their class. You cannot go cap-in-hand and secure loans from the world donor agencies and use the same to fly your family and cronies on diplomatic visits with paid extacodes and go back to ask for debt relief at maturity after you suddenly remember that you are actually a poor country. Until we can model their standards in all indices of governance and economy such as healthcare, infrastructure, standard of living, literacy, GDP, compliance to rule of law etc, we do not have grounds to make comparisons even on most the mundane matter. Let us stop this attitude of defending bad behaviour from our own kith. The consequences hurts everyone. |
