Dey play o, you are not aware people dey japa from Uk leave their partner for UK🫤 ? I have a friend paying £500 for two kids, If u ask me, it’s not as bad as living with wicked partner. There is a lot we can do together than going separate ways sha if sense is applied and if that’s not happening, face your fears man.

I’m having recurring issues with Lemonade (Lemfi). It’s taking ages for them to credit my naira account. Up to 5 or more hours so far. Please who can recommend an app that’s a viable alternative, with instant naira transfer? Max 5mins

Morning my people, I have come again with questions please. We recently got a care sponsorship and on the response from home office, it was stated that the applicant could work 20 hours on jobs on the shortage occupation list or the same sharecode. Does that mean that the person could maybe work as an IT or any job for 20 hours if it is on the shortage occupation?

Yes, the person can work additional 20 hours in

1. A job that's the same occupation code as the one they were sponsored for - so in this case you can take on another care role with another employer. OR

2. An occupation code that's on the shortage occupation list. Make sure it actually matches though, because it's not just any IT job that's on that list.

Find out if the work is in a shortage occupation by checking both:

the Skilled Worker visa: shortage occupations for health and education- https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/skilled-worker-visa-shortage-occupations-for-health-and-education
the Skilled Worker visa shortage occupation list - https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/skilled-worker-visa-shortage-occupations/skilled-worker-visa-shortage-occupations

Also, the shortage list is being heavily amended by April or so, so bear that in mind.

Hi guys, I am traveling to Germany soon. For those who have made the trip to the Schengen area before;

1. Can I use my Revolut card there? Or should I get a Wise card?
2. Once I return from Germany, I can use the visa to travel to other countries in the Schengen area, right? (Visa is valid for 3 months, multiple entries)

How does a sensible person looking to deliver sensible policies do it without due consideration / without providing short-term palliatives?

They have arrested Binance operatives according to reports, banned ABokifx whose only job is to aggregate from sources , banned and unbanned BDC, and done everything else aside from fixing the actual issues. Crazy that a country as big as Naija still has electricity issues in 2023, Isn't that ment?

Simple basic economics but they're doing a moonwalk around the actual issues and purposely refusing to fix it for reasons known to them. If you ask me, he's just the Yoruba version of Buhari, albeit, a loudly ignorant version

Can you tell how you went about the research for the lender without using Mortgage advisor? Thank you

Congratulations.

rollykotex:
Hi everyone, it’s really been a while I posted. Though i read the posts and all. I am excited to share the news that we just bought a HOUSE. Asiinnnnnnn Home owner in the United Kingdom. It’s a dream come through and I’m super excited we’re living our best lives.
We moved to the UK in October 2021, I was the student with my husband and two kids as my dependents. We were determined and prepared for the worst that comes with relocation but as God would have it, it wasn’t as bad as we thought. I didn’t work in our first year as I had to take care of the kids and school. My husband alone foot all the bills and paid my school fees. I got a job immediately after school in October 2022, it was without sponsorship so my husband got the HCA sponsorship. We planned to save at least £2,000 a month in the beginning of January 2023 towards getting our own house and we were able to save that and more. By December 2023, we already had enough money for deposit. The whole housing process started on the 4th of January 2024 and here we are today, we got the key last week.
I’m glad we are in a country where you can have both short and long term plan and it will materialise, where we don’t need to have godfathers or know anyone to succeed and where hard work is heavily rewarded.
I am so proud of myself and my husband for the effort we have put in to see this materialise and super grateful to God that gives all beautiful things.
In case you may want to ask, we live in Wales, Swansea to be precise, we bought a three bedroom semidetached, 2 toilet and a bath, beautiful garden, the total cost is 26,750 which include 10% deposit, level3 survey, legal, search. Financed by Barclays.
We didn’t use a mortgage advisor, my husband and I got the lender ourselves. We read and did so many research and it saved us about £800 for mortgage advisor.
Our house is EpC B, council tax band B no ground rent and it’s freehold. We wanted a low cost maintenance and we got it. Our survey result was excellent and the house is super gorgeous . We did a 20 year mortgage plan our repayment is a little above £1,000 which include our house insurance cost and income protection cost as well.
Thank you for reading my long post.

Graduate Visa

Is anyone in same shoes as mine?
I applied for graduate visa Jan 4th 2024 , they sent confirmatory email that they intend to make a decision by Feb 29th which is today

Everyone I know who applied with me and after me has received their BRP, in my case no email.
The only email I got from them last week was a link to pay for IHS for my dependent which I did immediately and sent the confirmation.

What is going on with my application and why is mine different?
Can I call them ?

Was there an error with paying for your dependent's IHS originally?

Anyway, your application period is from when you paid that IHS because they wouldn't have considered the application properly until that was received.

So, be patient. Nothing is wrong. You'll get it soon.

Yes there was an error, dependent was not charged for IHS

Thank you

Just saw this even though it's been said here severally before. Is my three years old eligible for 15hrs free child care considering that I'm not entitled to public funds?

15 hours for 3 - 4 years old is unique in not being considered public funds

Yes, 15 hours from 3 years (England) is universal irrespective of immigration status and earnings.

It's the new free hours from 2 years and below that has immigration status and other eligibility criteria.
