Lol, I just remembered how Godzilla fvvked up Superman last year. grin grin grin
lol these type of discuss used to be so heated up back then, till people realized, it led nowhere and had zero chance of happening.

"Goku vs Naruto" and "Thanos vs Darkseid" where the pick of the bunch, enemies were made over these "phantom match ups" 🤣🤣

Shogun right out the box with one of the strongest pilot episodes I've seen in a while. From the cast to the setting to the music, we're in for an absolute treat with this one.

Can barely wait for evening to watch episode 2.

There's a certain way to walking as a lady in ancient Japan. The actors even had to learn how to walk that way to be able to properly portray that era.

The kimono is wrapped around their legs so its awkward walking briskly and there's a technique to walking as a lady. There's a way to sit, stand and walk with the kimono. They walk with their knees closed. I think this is the answer. That kimono wrapped around their legs will hinder motion too.

Watched "Memoirs of a Geisha" some weeks back and saw glimpses of Japanese ladies etiquette back in the days.

Calm down...let's see how it progresses...
Too early to tell.

But it's epic so far tho...

The political scheming is very well done.

That assassination attempt too was crazy...the maid just dey kill instantly...no long story at all

This show sweet me for body. I've always wondered for decades why on earth it hasn't been done and here it is.

There's alot going on that isn't being said. Even though the story is sticking to the source. At least people who haven't read the book would be able to follow. It's interesting to see where this leads.

I loved Mariko at first sight.

Vinland Saga S2, AOT, Bleach, Jujutsu Kaisen aired in 2023.

Blue Eye Samurai was good, but no way it was among the best of 2023.
It isn't even an anime.

Pluto too is top 5 at best

Is Pluto that good. Maybe I'll see it.

I'm watching one that there's a tournament of fighters representing business men now. Kengan something or the other.

It's quite interesting though some annoying characters and plenty voice over explanation dey.

I prefer Baki over it

New AOT Final season Volume 5 Blu-ray Cover

Eren standing atop a hill of corpses and bones...

Pretty nice symbolism showing the weight and cost of his choices

I loved Mariko at first sight.
Mariko definitely has a certain charm to her, something that her character sorely lacked in Monarch: Legacy of monsters no matter how much they subtly tried to portray her as being special.

Am I the only one who thinks they shouldn't have shaved Blackthorne's hair? I mean the man had this Pirates of the Caribbean/Black Sails mystery and appeal going for him then boom, they shave off his hair and all of a sudden he looks average and small...

Omooooo...like i have actually not heard any bad review for it, both from critics and fans. I have never seen this much excitement for a TV show in a long while.

This week totally fed film heads and nerds good ngl 😩, From "Poor things" been available on VOD, to Shōgun dropping banger episodes to Dune 2 dropping on Friday....see proper meal brotherly!

It's just too bad i have terrible scheduling this week, as it seems like i am the only one yet to see "Shôgun" 😭, and the earliest i can see it, is by the weekend if i want to have a proper experience 😩😩.

Premium feeding this period.

Seems you and me both are on the same train. My scheduling is packed full with activities I barely have time for entertainment.
I'm still at episode 4 in ATLA live action. SHOGUN is downloaded already but I don't know when I have the proper timing to give it a proper digestion.

It's a slow burn, how going to space messes with one's head.

Some scenes are just trippy and they just cut the scene without further explanation. I sha know they will do a culmination of all the 'hints' they've been dropping.

Netflix dey make money low-key with Kdrama ,
In all d big streaming platform only Netflix produced more Korea stuff compare to other streaming service..

most watched TV series on Netflix was a Korean series..
abduleez1:
Damn shït. Koreans seem far ahead in live action storytelling in Asia. This people dey cook abeg and deserves their flowers.

I have been looking down on Korean content for some years back and made me miss out on classics like Jumong, A Man Called God etc (although these were largely me being late to the party and couldn't join cos of their lengthy seasons). I've mainly focused on their dark and mature content and steered clear off the romance genre from Asia, cos I consider them melodramatic and overdrawn.

"Death's Game" still had a healthy dosage of 'romance' but it was refreshing and necessary to the tale and well thought out, planned, acted and brilliant delivery.

This year, we fully going Korean or K-drama as most calls it. Funny how I always thought K-drama meant Korean romance drama all these years until a quick Google search some weeks ago. 😂 That industry is going places and a solid alternative to Hollywood culture. Netflix has envisioned this and invested early on...way faster than other big players whom are still slow to realise how big of an industry this people might become in the years to come.
At least they're seeing the power of globalisation and that's why they're scrambling for investment in Nigeria's Nollywood. One of the rare profound benefits of Western globalisation.

I just pray make God give me the fortitude and time to explore all these Asian "goodness".

° Brodaman, Iwaju is a beautiful project but the child actor voice lacks emotion and that Nickelodeon's touch, those young kids amaze me with the way they interprete and activate their script.
CGI is good but not there, so many part I wish they could do better, the rigging is not fluid, the surface and texture needs small tiny touch, probably the reason I'm complaining about the CGI.
Beautiful story, I tell people, animations (anime, cartoon, 3d animations) have the best stories and script nothing beats them.
Thanks for bringing such quality I only wish it was under PIXAR project or beta still they starting theirs, since everyone is under Disney.
Thanks to the amazing team, but make them no allow Disney influence them with their yeye nonsense that is not working in the Hollywood. Time to milk the African culture, hope Africa eats the largest pie. °
