@Africankel Congratulations. Do you think I should use DHA for my one month Visa to South Africa or Vfs? My traveling date is May19 Which one do you think I am likely to get a quick response. Thank you Africankel: |
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Africankel(m): 10:08pm On Mar 06 |
hunee: The Embassy is Abuja, little or no information on the Internet. But here's their telephone number:- 07034103830 Application is fairly straightforward... Basic visa documents. Hotel, flight, 6 months statement, evidence of work, two passport photos, itinerary (very important), introduction letter. Visa fee is 10k+ for single entry, 16k+ for multiple - they however advise that as a tourist, always apply for single entry, coz they don't see why a tourist needs a multiple entry visa. Data page of your passport must be certified in court. 1 Like 2 Shares |

Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Africankel(m): 10:19pm On Mar 06 |
I'm actually not a fan of eVisa, thus have little or no knowledge how it works, @hunee can help in this regard. But since your travel date is in May, you should apply for a sticker visa as you have ample time to get it approved. Marshall6: |
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Africankel(m): 10:29pm On Mar 06 |
hunee: There's no fixed validity. But single entry has a maximum validity of one month, and three months for multiple. I paid for multiple entry the last time but was only given two weeks to enter (I was stamped in at the border for 5 days, coz that's how long I told them I was staying), But you cannot stay beyond 30 days. This time I paid for single entry, but told the Consular to give me a minimum of one month to enter Bots (unlike the two weeks I got before), we'd actually become friends. The visa is not sticker, just a stamp, same with Namibia and Jamaica. Address is Oguta Lake, Maitama. I can't remember the house number. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by hunee: 11:03pm On Mar 06 |
Maybe we should begin to encourage those intending SA applicants to consider Botswana too. It is just 4hr journey by road to SA. lol On my Last trip to SA, met so many Botswanans. Kel to flashed my memory back. |
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Africankel(m): 11:22pm On Mar 06 |
hunee: It's actually more than 4 hours. I think I left JHB by 10:30am and arrived Gaborone by 7pm. They have speed limits so the travel time is longer than what Google map says. There's really nothing to see in the capital. Those interested in wild life will have to drive 13 - 15 hours up north to Karsana, it is amazing!!! |
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by hunee: 11:32pm On Mar 06 |
Lol. I had botswanans around me on my last trip, they said 4hrs, whichever way, maybe you enter Council taxi for Marabstad Africankel:Yeah, i learnt they have good wild life. On my next sa trip, i will do all those regions hopefully. when are you traveling kel? |

[quote author=hunee post=128817251] Please @hunee, I just checked my visa application through the Online tracker and it says "no record found". It moved from under assessment to that. Does it mean anything? Travel date is tomorrow. |
