Augustine Owen Eguavoen is a Nigerian football manager and former player who thrice served as manager of the Nigeria national team. The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has appointed Augustine Eguavoen as interim coach of the team. It’s the fourth time Eguavoen is managinlu6 m g the national team. Eguavoen’s appointment comes barely 24 hours after former coach Jose Peseiro resigned due to contract expiration. Eguavoen was appointed the caretaker coach of the Nigeria national team in June 2005 with his coaching staff including Samson Siasia, Daniel Amokachi and Ike Shorunmu. He managed the national team at the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, where the team won a bronze medal, beating Senegal in the third-place play-off. He was sacked in April 2006. In June 2010, the Nigeria Football Federation asked Eguavoen to replace Swedish Lars Lagerbäck until he decided his future plans. He was brought in as caretaker manager but said that he has no intention of submitting an application to take the role on a permanent basis. Eguavoen was also appointed as the head coach of the Nigeria national under-23 football team in August 2010. He expected his team would have a qualification for the 2012 London Olympic Games, but they were knocked out in the group stage. On 5 December 2011, he resigned from his job following the failure to secure the Olympics ticket. On 12 December 2021, Eguavoen was again appointed manager of Nigeria on an interim basis for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, following the departure of Gernot Rohr. After Nigeria exited from the round of sixteen with an agonizing defeat to Tunisia, he returned to his position as the Technical Director of the side. SportsHighLight: While I can't engage in predicting specific match outcomes or endorse gambling, I can certainly provide an analysis of the upcoming clash between Liverpool and Manchester City. The highly anticipated match between Liverpool and Manchester City promises to be a spectacle, with both teams boasting formidable squads and tactical prowess. Liverpool, under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp, is known for their high-pressing style and lethal counterattacks. However, recent injuries to key players like Virgil van Dijk have tested their resilience. Despite this, they remain a force to be reckoned with, especially at Anfield, where their home advantage often plays a significant role. Manchester City, managed by Pep Guardiola, epitomizes possession-based football, with fluid passing and tactical flexibility. Their recent form has been impressive, with dominant displays both domestically and in European competitions. Players like Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling have been instrumental in their success, providing creativity and firepower upfront. Analyzing recent performances and tactical setups, it's evident that both teams have the potential to secure a victory. Key factors such as injuries, tactical decisions, and individual performances will influence the outcome of the match. Overall, the clash between Liverpool and Manchester City promises to be a thrilling encounter, showcasing the best of English football. While predicting the exact result is challenging, fans can expect an exciting battle between two top-tier teams vying for supremacy on the pitch. |

mideolu437:Barcelona have contacted Mikel Arteta. Laporta and Deco like him very much. Despite Arteta saying few weeks ago he isn't leaving, 'Relevo' can confirm that Barça have called him. However, the process is seen as complicated because of his contract with Arsenal until 2025. |

SportsHighLight: Jamie Carragher on Real Madrid: "RB Leipzig were by far the dominant team over 2 legs. The aura of Bernabeu got them through. It doesn't bode well in terms of winning UCL. They’re a long way short of Manchester City, Inter & Arsenal. Real Madrid aren't up there among the best teams in Europe right now |
