This is the conversation we should be having now. Scrap either the senate or house of reps and use the money to pay workers. We don't need two expensive houses whose functions are largely the same. 76 Likes 5 Shares |

I earning 25k a month as a single bachelor in Lagos and that is enough to carter for all my needs including light bill, fuel, food, clothing e.t.c, let alone 100k.. I think alot of Nigerians are just over exaggerating the situation of thing, just trying to making things look as if it's extremely terrible 6 Likes 4 Shares |

... See them speak, one may think they actually care. They should start by reducing their fat salaries and huge allowances,at least to free more money. Maybe then, we'll take them serious. 8 Likes |

Agreed but realistically, is it feasible for both the government and private employers to pay? A recent report said 24 states cannot pay salaries without FAAC allocation with the minimum wage at 30,000 In my opinion if a conducive economic environment and total eradication of corruption is achieved, everyone will be fine. Hopefully, Nigerians will remember this hardship as they go out to vote in the next election. Live your life for God. God hates sin and if you want to please Him, stay away from sin, pray more often and read your Bible. You have not and can never commit an unpardonable sin but you must return always to ask for mercy and forgiveness. Prov.28.13 - He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy. 8 Likes 2 Shares |

Considering the current high cost of living, a realistic minimum wage for a man with wife & 2kids will be around 200k: 🤔 Feeding 120k House Rent 20k Transport 20k School Fees 10k (~120k per session) Utilities 10k House provisions 10k Medicals 5k Religious Obligations & others... 13 Likes 3 Shares |

Reality is; How many companies can pay N100,000 per month to it's workers in the current economic climate? Even the Federal government and State govts are still heavily struggling to meet up with N30,000 minimum wage. Many staff have not yet been paid their full arrears till now. So, where is the money gonna come from? 9 Likes 2 Shares |

Tinubu made a mistake by removing and retuning subsidy after the devaluation tanked the naira Now you’ll have to give more allcoattto states and ministries and increase salaries drastically You whole effort will have been wasted as there’ll be money money in circulation and a new wave of inflation will happen After the new wage increase house rent, transport, food and services will also go up 1 Like |

But when the NLC Chairman says the same thing and protests at FG's lackadaisical approach, Agbado supporters will term him "political" and claim he wants to sabotage Tinubu's government. I wonder how some people think, It is very clear that "real" inflation is close to 100% and salaries are still the same; Are you expecting the NLC chairman to keep quiet when the govt is not sticking to dialogues and signed agreements? 1 Like |
