Fool! Why won't they bypass when you rolled over their previous bills from the days of NEPA and you expect them to start paying millions before they can use light. I just know and I am certain that the issue of light in Nigeria is witchcraft and nothing can be done about it. 2 Likes |

Kind of like some people do not get it. Bypass meter means the discos cannot earn enough money which means they cannot pay gencos, pay for transformers and wires and poles and even pay for new power stations. Honestly I am shocked at the way Nigerians seem to justify this evil. It's like we don't get it. Well, till we get it, let their be dark. 2 Likes |

I find it difficult to understand 60% do bypass, in my estate don't think u can get even 1%.what I know for certain reasons is nepa official and connect people direct from the pole(shop work shop) and ask them to pay a fixed fee amount of between the 5k to 8k per month.to them. Is that the bypass u are talking about. 1 Like |

Nonsense excuses! Are there no laws against by- pass Meters? Most of those Criminals caught are asked to pay to the Accounts of the Oga working there! Corruption have killed DISCOS! Is that the reasons - why Nigerians are not enjoying Light , regularly again? •Anyway, thank God for Prof Nnaji- for making Aba- to have Regular Lights! •Thank God for President Tinubu - for allowing the Geometry Company the passage of lights directly to Aba People, afterall, Buhari govt refused it, saying it can only Pass through the Fraudulent National Grid! That makes the difference between the Individuals in a Party. But some people with jaundice, will not see that now! 1 Like |

Nonsense and ingredients. They always use yeye English to confuse the unknowledgeable. Whose fault is it when meter users bypass meters? For uncountable years, it has been very well known that in the smaller country beside us called Benin Republic, it is impossible to bypass meters. You would never dare to bypass your electric and water meters. Without delay you will land in jail with a heavy fine included. How can government, knowing that there are laws against energy theft, have failed to use the laws against energy thieves? If after 62 years on independence we still have such percentage of citizens unmetered or even not connected to electricity, is it not the fault of government? Is it not the business of government to provide such services nationwide? Unfortunately corruption will not permit them. They get into positions of power and loot as much as they can, use the looted amount to perpetuate themselves in power. All through the period of military rule, we were told how NEPA had become a veritable source of corruption and stealing. The same people who tell us that government can no longer provide those services, set up companies, talk to us about privatization and finally turn up to purchase those organizations with looted public funds. nairalanda1: Mr defender of the oppressor, You are always on d side of government & always find a reason to blame d masses. Let met tell U something, apart from d meter in people houses, NEPA ALWAYS HAS another big one for entire areas in them place. So they always see d total amount consumed by each area, then do estimated billing with some jara & spread it to unmetered houses/shop in d area. So at least as U do Ur daily job of defending everything about d govt, know at least did much 2 Likes |

Not true. Maybe 5%. It's not that easy bypassing meter. Usually it damages the prepaid meter. Because you will be inclined to over load it. Only 5% is a fair statistics 1 Like |

Kukutenla: SO, if you were running a business, that means that people can come and collect things for free? Oga, drop politcs, drop all this Marxist nonsese you are chanting here....the thing is, businesses need to make a profit to run well, and if people are not paying anything for service, palaver will result. It is a simple matter, and it does not require you to lose your mind and abuse me...or anyone. Nothing to do with any government. Pay for service, company makes profit, service improves. GSM ran on that model, and we went from awful service, to improved service. But no, na to abuse you people know....because at the end, ye know I am right, and you are worng. But the internet does not hand out prices for being right. It hands out prices for whoever has the most likes...even if it is wrong. Anyway, enjoy your no light. 3 Likes 1 Share |

nairalanda1:See let me make example with MTN for instance, how dose it make sense that you are unable to browse or make call because their mast near you has a problem only for MTN to ask everybody to contribute to fix the mast. is that how a proper business should run? this is exactly what PHCN is doing. There are people who use MTN browsing cheat, various codes to bypass the system but MTN don't charge people to fix their facilities because it is their responsibility to wield out those who bypass the system and not throw everybody in darkness for their inability. 1 Like |

Same NEPA dat literally cuts power to universities, even soldiers Barack if them refuse to pay 4 power after ultimatum...Stop capping nigga, discos hardly make those kind of losses, They always allocate power to areas sat pay & ignore d rest or outright cut them off 1 Like |

We Nigerian are very dubious, not only our politicians but we are just very greedy... My wife called me this morning that our token is 29kwh, I was about buying and sending to her to load, before she called me back that, they have taken the light...
