Some people are seriously disturbed about this development.

They've been running helter skelter trying to discredit Aba residents.

We know them and they know we know what they are🤡

Site Your Business In Aba for Quick Return On Investment.

When the 4th Turbine of Geometric IPP is switch on by the end of April everything will be complete.

Site your Hotels, Fastfoods Restaurants, Factories etc in Aba and you won't have anything to do with running cost on dieseling and servicing your soundproof generator and thereby making more profit.

Nice one.

I see an Industrial Revolution taking off in this place.

In fact, any serious, upcoming business today should be looking to open an office in Aba.

Very bright future for the city.

It could become our Singapore.

What we will start to see now is 24 hr business activities in the busiest areas, meaning more money generated in the city, ie more prosperity.

Nigerians love deceiving themselves just to brag .

The news all over the state is that the plant is not really functioning yet and the electricity supply in the area is still as terrible as before but some people outside the state are busy gulping sugar over constant electricity for people still living in darkness.

As at this moment, there's still nothing like constant electricity anywhere in Abia state

Truth be told,a lot of areas haven't had any improvement in power supply.
This whole thing is seriously being exaggerated.
So many bloggers are misinforming people just for content.
Geometric Power has only turn on one turbine which generates 47MW. Aba's power demand is about 100-110 MW. So you can see that it's some parts that have a very big improvement in power while some areas don't.

Relax. Folks are smart enough to know that it’s all coming on stream shortly.

The plant is there, so power is coming.

No loud am bro. Smart investors are already moving their production plants to Aba en mass. Do you know what constant and relatively cheap power supply can do to any business?

Lol, the number of yorubas working in companies in Aba will shock you. Back in the early 2000’s, after my WAEC, we used to go to industrial layout to look for manual labor work and I know the uncountable number of yorubas I usually meet. Unilever, Nigerian breweries, Pfizer, Niemeth, Vitafoam and many other factories were located there. Now, that’s just one industrial estate in Aba, there were others at Osisioma, Eziama etc.

Aba has always been among the most industrialized cities in Nigeria. I guess it’s going to witness a boom now.

U r right to a very large extent.
It's the bloggers that are misinforming people.
In due time, the power supply will get to say between 18-24 hours daily but at the moment Geometric Power & their distribution subsidiary, Aba Power Limited are massively installing meters. Also there the issue of adequate transformers as well as other issues they will tackle first.

But if it is about having the generating capabilities to meet the industrial and residential electricity needs of Aba, Geometric Power has it. Aba needs 100-110 MW.
Their 3 turbines can produce 141 MW which is more than the energy needs of the Aba ringed fence area.
Also note that it is only 9 LHAs in Abia state that is serviced by Geometric Power. The other 8 LGAs are serviced by EEDC.
