BlueRayDick:GRV is a solid guy, he's done well for himself professionally, been involved in Lagos state politics for almost a decade, he's studied the state sufficiently (you'd hear this when you listen to him speak), and been involved in Lagos state's politics gives him access to a fair deal of insider info...only recently he provided some privileged information on the blue/red line rail project of Lagos, so I don't think he's an outsider to governance in Lagos even though he's not been personally involved (for obvious reasons). Also, GRV is someone I agree with on how Nigeria should be structured, have had an opportunity to listen to his ideas outside of him talking as a politician, and think he has his head in the right place. As for Sanwo-Olu, he has a strong enough personal profile, but I didn't see him doing much in his second tenure...also his being APC is more than enough of a reason in itself for me not to vote for him. There were only two candidates that stood a realistic chance in Lagos for 2023, and if I'm to vote, I won't bother on candidates I know don't stand a chance. 1 Like |

larride:I really don't know sha, the state's APC structure has gone from Oshiomhole to Ize-Iyamu, so that might be a factor. It'd be tough, Philip Shuaibu might be a very useful idiot also...would likely be between APC and PDP eventually. |

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by larride(m): 11:56am On Mar 08 |
Theflint1: Bro APC has Edo North on lockdown. It's the only region APC has a realistic chance of clearing. The battle ground is going to be Edo South which is a PDP stronghold. Edo Central has the least number of voters so it will just make up the numbers. If Asue wins Edo South with large margins and try to pick some numbers here and there in Edo North and Central, he will win the election. Cant find any pathway for Olumide sha. |

Ellexy:Tinubu gave his economic template to Buhari, Buhari to Adeosun Buhari sacked Adeosun and handed over same template to Zainab Ahmed and Emefiele Buhari seemed to be losing the plot and Tinubu advice him to stick with the template and print as much Naira as he could Tinubu took over and promised to continue with Buhari's legacies (was probably more Tinubu's legacy) Tinubu handed over his template to Cardoso and Wale Edun, they'd follow the template to the letter, and Nigerian's would trust the process. 1 Like |

Theflint1: In which capacity or position is GRV involved in Lagos politics for almost a decade? What priviledge information did he provide about the red/blue line rail? 4 Likes |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 11:58am On Mar 08 |
Theflint1: GRV is actually an outsider in governance and public service . Aside from contesting and losing in previous elections , I really am not aware of anything he knows about public service . Funny enough , it's now this second term Sanwoolu is working . The first 2-3 years of Sanwoolu's administration he didn't try at all. Towards the end of the 3rd to 4th year was when he started working . See ehn, I wanted change of guard in Lagos from APC to another party but GRV was just not that right person to effect such change of guard . GRV no be am at all. The only thing I was against was the tribalism card they played on him. Now that said , are u saying Akpata has absolutely nothing to offer ? Don't u think u supporting Asue of PDP is same as supporting Sanwoolu of APC in Lagos ; something u avoided doing . 7 Likes |

larride:APC does not have Edo North on lock like that, check the results from the presidential election, plus Edo Central and Edo North votes are comparable...the difference no dey much like that. |

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by WhoDeyHause: 12:16pm On Mar 08 |
Theflint1:Oshimole's structure in Edo north is there to back him. Of the three candidates he's the one that looks to have the better reach outside his senatorial district tagging from his years in the state, philanthropy and association with Pa Tony anenih. Asue knows it's not a walk in the park even with obaseki's backing. |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by larride(m): 12:16pm On Mar 08 |
Theflint1: Bros just ask Segedinho. APC won Edo North Senatorial election by over 50k votes APC clears all the house of reps seat in Edo North APC clear all the House of Assembly seat in Edo North Even most of the votes that Tinubu won in Edo were in Edo North. If anybody tells you APC doesn't have Edo North on lockdown, the person is lying. 1 Like |

izzou: Even election that they did on the same say with the Presidential election, APC clears Edo North both the senatorial and house of reps seat. Most of Tinubu numbers were also from Edo North. The data is there for him to see. |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by larride(m): 12:18pm On Mar 08 |
WhoDeyHause: Yes. As long as Oshiomole backs him, he will win Edo North hands down |

DissTroy:not all of us bro. Some Nigerians are still very loyal first to Nigeria... though they are becoming more and more fee, because of they way many tribal bigots behave. A couple of years back, I would never have even believe there's anything like tribalism in Nigeris, until I experienced it, first hand. They didn't even make any mistake of hiding it, they threw at my face. 1 Like |

larride:He still has pastor ize iyamu in the south and who knows if shuaibu will try to play spoiler in his own small group with revenge instigations. I honestly see him as the favourite but when you also factor rigging and power of the incumbency you might just be wrong at the end of the day. |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 1:00pm On Mar 08 |
DissTroy: This is a wide generalization don't u think ? Not everybody places tribal interests first in all things. As regards regional politics, the reason tribalism always rears its ugly head is because we actually don't practice democracy like we should in a plural state where u have different people with different interests. When u see a governor who would site most developmental projects in his own region of the state, it is only normal that the people of other tribe fight tooth and nail to have their own son too get the number 1 seat and favour them as well. 3 Likes 1 Share |
