But GRV was none of this, yet u supported him in Lagos.

1. GRV Careerwise could not be compared to other major aspirants in Lagos
2. GRV didn't have any strong profile aside his family name
3. GRV has never been involved in governance or public service at any level in Lagos
4. GRV doesn't really sound smart like that when u listen to him.
5. I doubt GRV has much connection that could've attracted more investment to Lagos. GRV is more of a son of an elite who did well in school and doing well for himself in his private business as an architect. I don't see him having much connections.

I'm just thinking, If u can support GRV why not Akpata?

Your eyes don dey clear. grin

I really do not know why some people always defend issues in their states that they don't expect others to defend in their own states.

It's appallingly hypocritical.

That's why the attacks on monerozi5590 dey funny

When everyone bends into pretzels to defend their states

Careerwise, he has the strongest profile of the three candidates, he's been involved with governance with the state on some level, and I've listened to him speak, he's smart and well-rounded plus I believe he has the most connections when it comes to being able to pull capital to the state.

But in Lagos state a guy who never worked with no profile was better that Sanwo-Olu

Oasis shared what Soludo said about a person of special Interest. Its stale, we are in 2024. Its just an outburst.

.....but we should be debating what Nairaland Elon Musk posted in 2022, not even on his own platform?!

I repeat, we all know what we are doing.

APC brought politics of tribe when back in 2010 Peter Obi tagged Ngige as from the Amala Yoruba party

We all know what we are doing

This is a wide generalization don't u think ? Not everybody places tribal interests first in all things.

As regards regional politics, the reason tribalism always rears its ugly head is because we actually don't practice democracy like we should in a plural state where u have different people with different interests. When u see a governor who would site most developmental projects in his own region of the state, it is only normal that the people of other tribe fight tooth and nail to have their own son too get the number 1 seat and favour them as well.

The exceptions do not negate the rule.

Just because you and I and others here might be different doesn't make it norm. The Esan sentiments in Edo are the same sentiments in other places - we versus them.

It's even more profound in ethnically diversed states. You are Yoruba from a region which is largely homogenous.

Cross Riverians with more than 100 tribes, Rivers with 10+ tribes and a few others would disagree with you.

not all of us bro. Some Nigerians are still very loyal first to Nigeria... though they are becoming more and more fee, because of they way many tribal bigots behave.

A couple of years back, I would never have even believe there's anything like tribalism in Nigeris, until I experienced it, first hand. They didn't even make any mistake of hiding it, they threw at my face.

Quantifying that demography of unflinching patriots to "few" might be more like it, man. The history of Nigerian sociopolitics is proof enough.

Most Nigerians' loyalties lie with their tribes first. Since tribal ties are the most topical issues in Nigeria, we are all conscious of our tribal identities and everything in the polity reminds us of it.

You're trying too hard to force this tribalism thing, and it's looking disjointed. Get your thoughts together then fly your kite, for now it's embarrassing.

You no know whether you go be Obidient or APC (another Emilokan according to your reasoning).

GRV is actually an outsider in governance and public service . Aside from contesting and losing in previous elections , I really am not aware of anything he knows about public service .

Funny enough , it's now this second term Sanwoolu is working . The first 2-3 years of Sanwoolu's administration he didn't try at all. Towards the end of the 3rd to 4th year was when he started working .

See ehn, I wanted change of guard in Lagos from
APC to another party but GRV was just not that right person to effect such change of guard . GRV no be am at all. The only thing I was against was the tribalism card they played on him.

Now that said , are u saying Akpata has absolutely nothing to offer ?

Don't u think u supporting Asue of PDP is same as supporting Sanwoolu of APC in Lagos ; something u avoided doing .

Lets not forget Olumide Akpata is a Senior partner at Templars Law firm and chairman of NBA
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Tataffo: 2:39pm On Mar 08
Clowns wants to use Edo and its forthcoming election to push their agenda and tribalism cheesy

Mind you there is a gentleman's agreement for Edo central ( Esan) to unanimously be the next governor but if Lp no honour the agreement, heaven will not fall moreover if lp didnt field Olumide who has done lots of grassroots work more than others in Lp in the last 3yrs, the agenda will still be cos he has a yoruba name, that is why he was sidelined, edo people are tribalist yen yen yen.....DAMNED IF YOU DO AND DAMNED IF YOU DON'T

APC does not have Edo North on lock like that, check the results from the presidential election, plus Edo Central and Edo North votes are comparable...the difference no dey much like that.

Which other state should we check the presidential election results to predict their state Guber result? Ebonyi, Imo, Enugu Rivers or where?
