Unfortunately this not the first funeral and it won't be the last. It is actually true. If the lady was used to standing up to greet elders she would instinctively stand up, bereaved or not.

Thank you!

This was 3 funerals o not 1. As in she lost father, mother, and brother at a go.

Almost everybody at that funeral would have been older than her. In her state to expect her to be rising up to greet everybody on the day is insensitive IMO.

Nobody knows how she's feeling
No one knows if she has been eating well
No one knows if she is on suicide watch
No one knows anything but one idiot from twitter feels he has an opinion

In Yoruba tradition, if you sit to greet an elder, is it right?

His tweet is insensitive, but it is not wrong.

Omo! I shock that any older person will have issues with whether she stands, kneels or crouch to greet an elder in this circumstance .

Normally she should not even be greeting any stupid elder in the first place . If not that her father was a public figure , they shouldn't be turning a 57 year old , his wife and 27 year old son burial to a jamboree every politician come mark register .

I'm even mad at the scenes yesterday night where the crowd forced the MC to recognize Peter Obi's presence . That's not the place and time for God's sake ! đŸ¤Ļ‍♂ī¸

His point is wrong in that the fact that she did not stand up to greet this one man at the occasion of the wake keeping of her father, mother, and brother IS NOT evidence of her lack of home training.

You can't conclude anything about her background from this single picture taken in a situation in her life that most likely none of us has ever faced.

In Yoruba tradition , nobody cares whether u sleep , kneel or stand to greet an elder at a funeral. Elders don't even go to funerals in Yoruba tradition .

We need to put things into context here . That was a funeral service and not some meet and greet gathering .

Someone lost nearly half of her family and the focus is on how she didn't stand up to greet a man at the wake keeping.

Height of ridiculousness.
